, called and known by the name of WALTER FRANCIS
WHITE, of Ponsonby Road, in the City of Auckland, Labourer,
do hereby give public notice that on the 14th day of January,
1937, I did for and on behalf of myself and my heirs and issue
lawfully begotten assume and adopt and determine to take
and use from thenceforth in all records, deeds, documents,
and writings, in all actions, suits, and proceedings, in all
dealings, transactions, matters, and things, and upon all
occasions whatsoever, the surname of Roxborough :

And I give further notice that by a deed-poll bearing date
the said 14th day of January, 1937, executed and attested
and enrolled in the office of the Supreme Court of New Zealand
at Auckland on the 15th day of January, 1937, I did adopt and
determine to take and use upon all occasions whatsoever
from the day of the date thereof the surname of Roxborough,
and so as to be at all times thereafter called, known, and
described and distinguished by the surname of Roxborough.

THE EDUCATION BOARD OF THE DISTRICT OF
SOUTHLAND.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Education Act, 1914, and of the
Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the
District of Southland proposes under the provisions of
the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work-
namely, the establishment of a public school-and for the
purposes of such public work the land described in the
schedule hereto is required to be taken:

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land
so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the said
Education Board situated in Tay Street, Invercargill, and is
open for inspection by all persons without fee during ordinary
office hours :

All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such land who have any well-
grounded objections to the execution of the said public work
or to the taking of the said land must state their objections
in writing and send the same within forty days from the
first publication of this notice to the said Education Board
at its office in Tay Street, Invercargill aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

All that piece of land containing 4 acres 2 roods 10 perches,
more or less, being part of Lot 2 on a plan deposited in the
Lands Registry Office at Invercargill as Number 2285, being
also part of Sections 4 and 5 and closed road, Block I, on the
public map of the Invercargill Hundred.
