AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, section 22 of the Local Legislation Act, 1936, and of all other powers and authorities thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:-

"That, for the purpose of providing half-yearly instalments of principal and interest and other charges in respect of a loan of £25,000 authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of carrying out repairs (including the reconstruction or improvement of such portions thereof as may be necessary) to the Grafton Bridge within the City of Auckland, and for providing the cost of investigations and reports preliminary to and in connection with the said work, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifth of a penny (½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or until the whole of the said loan of £25,000 is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Auckland City Council at a special meeting held on the 13th day of January, 1937.

CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers in that behalf enabling it thereunto, the Christchurch Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows :-

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of seven hundred and fifty pounds (£750) authorized to be raised by the Christchurch Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a sewer in Riverslaw Terrace, in the City of Christchurch, the said Christchurch Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·000008 of a pound in the pound upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property in the special area described by resolution of the Board dated the 17th day of April, 1923, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 37 of the 26th day of April, 1923, and as altered by resolutions of the Board dated the 15th day of February, 1927, the 21st day of June, 1927, the 16th day of April, 1930, the 16th day of February, 1932, the 21st day of March, 1933, the 19th day of November, 1935, and the 26th day of May, 1936, and published in the New Zealand Gazettes Nos. 11, 54, 37, 14, 23, 89, and 40, of the 3rd day of March, 1927, the 28th day of July, 1927, the 22nd day of May, 1930, the 25th day of February, 1932, the 6th day of April, 1933, the 5th day of December, 1935, and the 18th day of June, 1936, respectively, and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly. on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off."
