Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby vest the control of the said reserve in the Raglan County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of July, 1937.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for plantation purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Oxford:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Oxford, in trust, for plantation purposes.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of July, 1937.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for water-conservation purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Otorohanga Town Board:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Otorohanga Town Board, in trust, for water-conservation purposes.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a resting-place for travelling stock; And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Cheviot:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Cheviot, in trust, as a resting-place for travelling stock.

SCHEDULE.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, being part Reserve 3135, situated in Block XVII, Lowry Peaks Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north by the Main North Road, 741·6 links, 784·1 links, 1068·3 links, and 17·5 links; towards the east and south by a public road and again towards the west by Lot 2 of Section 1, Cheviot Estate, 481·5 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/562A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by subsection two of section six of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1933 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare the private lands described in the Schedule hereto to be private reserves under and subject to the provisions of the said Act.
