A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of a road desired to be constructed over Blocks XIV and XV, Kairanga Survey District—viz., portion of the No. 60 Levin-Palmerston North via Shannon Main Highway—shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at a point on the existing No. 60 Levin-Palmerston North via Shannon Main Highway opposite the southern corner of Section 172, Township of Fitzherbert, Block XIV, Kairanga Survey District, and proceeding thence in a northerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 3 miles 64 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c., viz., Sections 173 and 172, Township of Fitzherbert, Block XIV, Section 174, Township of Fitzherbert, Block XV, Section 171, Township of Fitzherbert, Block XV, Section 175, Township of Fitzherbert, Block XV, Sections 169 and 197, Township of Fitzherbert, Block XIV, and part Section 200, Township of Fitzherbert, Block XV, Kairanga Survey District, and terminating at a point on the said main highway opposite Lot 12, D.P. 1794; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Wellington Land District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 95968, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of May, 1937.

Appointing Trustee for the Management and Control of the Manaroa Wharf, Clova Bay, Pelorus Sound.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 28th day of May, 1937.

Present:

THE HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-second day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and published in the Gazette on the tenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, at page 18, George Godsiff, Geoffrey Lionel Rogers, James Patrick Climo, Nathan Harvey, and Henry Harvey were appointed trustees (for the inhabitants of the district) for the control and management of the wharf at Manaroa, Clova Bay, Pelorus Sound :

And whereas the said George Godsiff has died, and it is desirable to appoint some person in his place to act with the trustees already appointed :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Harbours Act, 1923, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Charles Norman Harvey

to act with the said Geoffrey Lionel Rogers, James Patrick Climo, Nathan Harvey, and Henry Harvey as trustees for the inhabitants of the district for the control and management of the said wharf.

Authorizing the acquisition of a Right-of-way over Land notwithstanding the Provisions as to Limitation of Area.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 28th day of May, 1937.

Present:

THE HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to section two hundred and forty-six of the Native Land Act, 1931, and all other powers him enabling, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the acquisition by The Whakatane Paper Mills, Limited, of a right-of-way over the land described in the Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of Part XII of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

FIRST, part of Lot No. 1 on the plan deposited at the Land Registry Office at Auckland under Number 25604 marked “right-of-way” on the said plan; and, secondly, that piece of land containing 38·2 perches, more or less, being portion of the said Lot 1 as shown edged red on the diagram attached to memorandum of transfer dated the 4th day of February, 1936, from Associated Fibre Millers (N.Z.), Limited, to the Whakatane Paper Mills, Limited, each of the said pieces of land being portion of Allotment 29F No. 1, Rangitaiki Parish, and being part of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 657, folio 98 (Auckland Land Registry).

WHEREAS in pursuance of section one hundred and thirty-seven of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that a certain area be excluded from the County of Taieri and included in the Borough of Green Island :

And whereas a Commission appointed under the said section held inquiries and recommended that the said area be excluded from the County of Taieri and included in the Borough of Green Island :

And whereas it is deemed expedient to make the alteration of boundaries recommended by the said Commission :
