Notice of Intention to take Land in Block XI, Hawera Survey District, for the Purposes of a Road.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Mokoia, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 19·3 perches.
Being portion of Section 537A, Patea District.
Situated in Block XI, Hawera Survey District. (S.O. 7555.)
In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 94577, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Approval of Persons and Firms for Testing of Motor-vehicles.

IN terms of Regulation 11 of the Traffic Regulations, 1936, I, Robert Semple, Minister of Transport, do hereby notify my approval of the persons or firms described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of the issue of Warrants of Fitness for motor-vehicles as provided for by the said regulation.

Excluding Roads from Limitation as to Speed imposed by the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3.

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, I, Robert Semple, Minister of Transport, do hereby exclude the roads described in the Schedule hereto from the limitation as to speed imposed by the said section.

Situated within Kawhia Town District—
Kawhia–Wharepuhanga via Kawa Main Highway No. 21 (all that portion from the north-eastern boundary of Kawhia Town District to a point 40 chains from the said boundary, measured along the road).

Situated within Te Kauwhata Town District—
Te Kauwhata–Waerenga Main Highway No. 401 (all that portion from the south-western boundary of Te Kauwhata Town District to a point opposite the junction of Travers Road and the main highway, a distance of approximately 60 chains; and all that portion from the junction of Amo Street and the main highway to the eastern boundary of Te Kauwhata Town District, a distance of approximately 35 chains).

Situated within Tinwald Town District—
Christchurch–Blenheim Main Highway No. 101 (all that portion from a point opposite the saleyards to the south-western boundary of Tinwald Town District, a distance of approximately 20 chains).

Grahams Road (all that portion from the eastern boundary of Tinwald Town District to the junction of Grove Street and Graham Road, a distance of approximately 56 chains).

Notifying Land in Auckland Land District subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, 7th May, 1937.

PURSUANT to the provisions of subsection (2) of section 48 of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, notice is hereby given that the parcels of land enumerated in the Schedule hereto, being part of the land known as Reporoa Settlement, were acquired by the Crown on 7th September, 1927, and became subject to the provisions of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, as from that date.

Block X, Paeroa Survey District.

As the same are more particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 21/162 “A,” deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered purple.
