Settlement Land in Auckland Land District proclaimed to be Ordinary Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section forty-nine of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, as amended by subsection one of section ten of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1935, it is enacted that the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare any settlement land to be, inter alia, ordinary Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is settlement land within the meaning of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so conferred upon me by the aforesaid section forty-nine, amended as aforesaid, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date of the gazetting hereof the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be ordinary Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—TAURANGA COUNTY.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 15 perches, more or less, being Section 58, Hereford Park Settlement, in Block VI, Waihi South Survey District, the same being delineated on plan marked L and S. 21/164“A,” deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland plan 28400.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 29th day of April, 1937.

Land reserved under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 rood 38·4 perches, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. 6318, part Hurumua No. 3 Block, situated in Block I, Clyde Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L and S. 4/701A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 3rd day of May, 1937.

Officers authorized to take and receive Statutory Declarations.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

Vesting the Control of a Scenic Reserve in the Ohakune Lakes Scenic Board.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby vest the control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto (being land reserved under the said Act) in trust for the purposes of scenery preservation, as from the date of this notice until the nineteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine (unless previously altered or revoked under the said Act), in the Ohakune Lakes Scenic Board, as constituted by notification dated the twentieth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four, and published in Gazette of the twenty-second day of that month.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area situated partly within the Ohakune Borough and partly within the County of Waimarino containing by admeasurement 136 acres 0 roods 21·8 perches, more or less, being Lots 1 and 2 of Lot 2 and other part of Lot 2 of Section 28, Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L and S. 4/340a, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 29th day of April, 1937.

Declaring Private Land in Kaiteriteri Survey District, Nelson Land District, to be a Private Reserve under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by subsection two of section six of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1933 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare the private land described in the Schedule hereto to be a private reserve under and subject to the provisions of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 7, Block VI, Kaiteriteri Survey District: Area, 479 acres 2 roods 7 perches, more or less.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 3rd day of May, 1937.
