Authorizing the Purchase by the Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board of certain Electrical Works the Property of the Havelock North Town Board.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 19th day of April, 1937.

THE HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section seventy-six of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the purchase by the Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board of the several electrical works and undertaking, the property of the Havelock North Town Board, described in an agreement dated the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, between the Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board of the one part, and the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Havelock North Town District of the other part, subject to the condition that the terms of such purchase shall be those set forth in the said agreement so far as the same relate to the purchase of electrical works, and subject to the parties obtaining legislative authority for such of the terms and conditions of the agreement as may require validation.

Cancelling the Reservation over Part of a Reserve in Kaiteriteri Survey District, Nelson Land District.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 23rd day of April, 1937.

THE HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby cancel the reservation for quarry purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE.
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 26 (formerly part Section 20), Block VII, Kaiteriteri Survey District: Area, 110 acres 1 rood 25 perches, more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/5/46B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Changing the Purpose of Part of a Reserve in the City of Invercargill, Southland Land District.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is portion of a reserve for the purposes of a drill-shed:
And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for public buildings of the General Government:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the portion of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for the purposes of a drill-shed to a reserve for public buildings of the General Government.
SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 rood 4·2 perches, more or less, being part Section 4 (formerly known as Drill-shed Reserve), Block XCI, City of Invercargill, and bounded as follows: Towards the east by Leven Street, 148·5 links; towards the south by Spey Street, 185·8 links; and towards the west and north by other part of Section 4 aforesaid, 148·5 links and 185·8 links respectively: be all the aforesaid measurements a little more or less, being part of the land in Certificate of Title, Volume 97, folio 101 (Southland Register). As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 6/11/59A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Conferring on Awatere County Council certain Powers of Borough Councils with respect to Waterworks.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 23rd day of April, 1937.
Present:
THE HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him in that behalf by section one hundred and eighty-two of the Counties Act, 1920, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby confer on the Awatere County Council all the powers with respect to the supply of water for domestic or industrial purposes exercisable by a duly constituted Borough Council under sections eighty-two to eighty-four, eighty-six to eighty-eight, Part XX (with the exception of sections two hundred and fifty-one, two hundred and fifty-three, and two hundred and fifty-four), and section three hundred and forty-six of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, but subject to the restriction that such powers shall be exercisable only over that portion of the County of Awatere described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area within and commencing at the junction of the Awatere River with the southerly point of Section 3, Block XXI, Taylor Pass Survey District, and following the Awatere River in an easterly direction to the sea, and bounded by the sea in a southerly direction to the corner of Section 5, Block XI, Clifford Bay Survey District; thence bounded by the southerly boundaries of Sections 10, 12, 13, 14, and 8 of Block XI, Clifford Bay Survey District, Section 6, Block X, and Section 7, Block XIII, Clifford Bay Survey District, skirting the course of the Blind River in a south-westerly direction and Section 8, Block XIII, Clifford Bay Survey District, and the southern boundaries of Sections 13, 12, and part 9, Block XXII, and Sections 5, 4, 3, Block XXI, Taylor Pass Survey District, to the point of commencement.
