Declaring Area to be Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes
of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3.
In terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment
Act, 1936, I, Robert Semple, Minister of Transport, do
hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to
be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said
section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle
on any road, street, or other place to which the public have
access therein shall be subject to the maximum speed-limit
of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.
SCHEDULE.
SITUATED within Ohinemuri County: All that area adjoining
the Pokeno-Waihi Main Highway No. 15 at Waikino Township
from a point on the said highway 2 chains west of the suspension bridge across the Ohinemuri River to a point opposite
the Waikino Railway-station.

By-law of Gisborne Fire Board approved.

PURSUANT to section 60 of the Fire Brigades Act, 1926,
I, William Edward Parry, being the Minister charged for
the time being with the administration of the Fire Brigades
Act, 1926, do hereby notify that approval has been given to a
by-law dated 10th February, 1936, made by the Gisborne
Fire Board, relative to the appointment of senior and junior
foremen of the brigade.

to that Council.

County Council is published in accordance with the
provisions of the Counties Amendment Act, 1931.

SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred
upon it by section 2 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1931,
the Council of the County of Rangitikei doth hereby by special
order declare that sections one hundred and twenty-one
and one hundred and thirty-one of the Counties Act, 1920,
which provide for the general rates to be levied in ridings
separately and for the apportionment of income respectively,
shall not apply to the Rangitikei County Council, and that
this special order shall take effect from the close of the financial
year ending the 31st day of March, 1937.
The foregoing resolution was passed at a special meeting
of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 29th day of
January, 1937, and confirmed at a special meeting of the
Council held on the 4th day of March, 1937.
We hereby certify that the above special order has been
duly made by the Rangitikei County Council.

HOBSO N COUNTY.
Special Order closing Separate Riding Accounts and deciding
to Pay Out of the General Account the Interest Charges on
Loans.
WHEREAS the Hobson County Council is of opinion that the
separate Riding Accounts of the county should be closed, and
is also of opinion that the expenditure of the special-area loans
shown in the Schedule hereto has resulted in a benefit to the
whole county:
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred on it
by section 2 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1931, and by
section 23 of the Finance Act (No. 3), 1934, the said County
Council hereby resolves by way of special order-
(a) That sections one hundred and twenty-one and one
hundred and thirty-one of the Counties Act, 1920,
shall not apply to the said County Council.
(b) That the interest, or the interest and sinking-fund
charges, or any instalment of principal and interest
in respect of the said loans be paid out of the General
Account of the county.
