THE following notice, received from the Mayor, Morrins-
vile Borough Council, is published in accordance with
the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926.

BOROUGH OF MORRINSVILLE.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926,
I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the
Borough of Morrinsville was taken on the 24th day of February,
1937, on the proposal of the Borough of Morrinsville to borrow
the sum of Β£10,000 for the purpose of borough improvements.
The number of votes recorded for and against the proposal
were as follows :-

I therefore declare the foregoing proposal was carried.

North City Council, is published in accordance with
the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL.

Result of Poll on Proposal to raise Special Loan.

In pursuance of section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the
City of Palmerston North taken on the 24th day of February,
1937, on the proposal of the Palmerston North City Council
to borrow the sum of ninety thousand pounds (Β£90,000) for
waterworks purposes, the number of votes recorded for the
proposal was 397, and the number recorded against the
proposal was 874.

I therefore declare that the above proposal was duly lost.

Excluding Streets and Roads from Limitation as to Speed
imposed by the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3.

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment
Act, 1936, I, Robert Semple, Minister of Transport, do
hereby exclude the streets and roads described in the Schedule
hereto from the limitation as to speed imposed by the said
section.

SCHEDULE.

Situated within Paeroa Borough--
Kopu-Paeroa Main Highway No. 17 (all that portion from
the northern boundary of Paeroa Borough to the junction
of the main highway with Station Road, a distance of
approximately 52 chains).

Situated within Te Aroha Borough--
Stanley Road (all that portion from the western boundary
of Te Aroha Borough to the Government railway-crossing,
a distance of approximately 1 mile 2 chains).

Situated within Turua Town District--
Orongo-Netherton Main Highway No. 315 (all that portion
from the northern boundary of Turua Town District
to the junction of the main highway with the Piako Road
Outlet Drain, a distance of approximately 53 chains ;
and all that portion from the southern boundary of Turua
Town District to a point 8 chains south of the junction
of the main highway with Raratuna Road, a distance
of approximately 47 chains).

Classification of Roads in Amuri County.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me
by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy
Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, I, Robert Semple, Minister
of Transport, do hereby approve of the Amuri County
Council's proposed classification of the roads described in the
Schedule hereto and situated in the Amuri County.

SCHEDULE.

AMURI COUNTY.

Roads classified in Class Three : Available for the use thereon
of any heavy motor-vehicle (other than a multi-axled heavy
motor-vehicle) which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not
more than 6$\frac{1}{2}$ tons, or any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle
which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than
10 tons :-

Waipawa-Kaikoura via Culverden Main Highway No. 107
(all that portion within Amuri County from the Hurunui
River to Peach's Cutting near the Mason River Crossing).
Red Post Junction - Jollies Pass Main Highway No. 108.
Waiau-Lyndon Main Highway No. 173.
Flinthoff-Mouse Point Main Highway No. 174.
Leader-Waiau Main Highway No. 180 (all that portion
within Amuri County).

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me

of Transport, do hereby approve of the Kaikoura County
Council's proposed classification of the roads described in the
Schedule hereto and situated in the Kaikoura County.

SCHEDULE.

KAIKOURA COUNTY.

Roads classified in Class Three : Available for the use thereon
of any heavy motor-vehicle (other than a multi-axled heavy
motor-vehicle) which, with the load it is carrying, weighs
not more than 6$\frac{1}{2}$ tons, or any multi-axled heavy motor-
vehicle which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more
than 10 tons:-

Blenheim-Christchurch via Parnassus Main Highway No. 101
(all that portion within Kaikoura County from the
northern boundary of the county at the Clarence River
to South Bay, Kaikoura).
Waipara-Kaikoura via Culverden Main Highway No. 107
(all that portion within Kaikoura County).
Waiau Main Highway No. 175.
Kaikoura Beach Main Highway No. 176.
Puhipuhi Main Highway No. 177.

Classification of Johnsonville-Newlands Main Highway.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on
me by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the
Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, I, Robert Semple,
Minister of Transport, do hereby alter the Main Highways
Board's proposed classification of the road described in the
Schedule hereto and situated in the Makara County, and
do hereby approve such altered classification as set forth in
the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

MAKARA COUNTY.

Road classified in Class Three : Available for the use thereon
of any heavy motor-vehicle (other than a multi-axled heavy
motor-vehicle) which, with the load it is carrying, weighs
not more than 6$\frac{1}{2}$ tons, or any multi-axled heavy motor-
vehicle which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more
than 10 tons:-

Johnsonville-Newlands Main Highway No. 554 (all that
portion within Makara County).
