Land set apart in the Canterbury Land District as a Site for a Public School.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section thirty-three of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, on the recommendation of the Land Board of the district in which are situated any reserves or endowments vested in the Crown by or in pursuance of section two of the Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, or of section twenty-two of the first-mentioned Act, set apart as sites for public schools, secondary schools, or technical schools any part of such reserves or endowments:
And whereas the Land Board of the Canterbury Land District has duly passed a resolution recommending that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be set apart as a site for a public school, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Acts aforesaid, do hereby set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a site for a public school (Woodbury).

SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 6 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Lot 9 and part Lot 6, D.P. 887, and being part E.R. 1191, situated in Block VII, Orari Survey District, and Block I, Geraldine Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by Woodbury Road, 1305·1 links; towards the south-east and south-west by other part of Lot 6, D.P. 887, E.R. 1191, 507·4 links and 1305·1 links respectively; and again towards the north-west by Macdonald’s Road, 507·4 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/654A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 6th day of March, 1937.

COMMAND.
The period of command of Major R. E. Sleigh, 14th Medium Battery, N.Z.A., is extended to 10th February, 1938.
CANTERBURY YEOMANRY CAVALRY.
Lieutenant J. C. Medlicott is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 10. Dated 15th February, 1937.
THE AUCKLAND (EAST COAST) MOUNTED RIFLES.
2nd Lieutenant A. M. Jordan, Regiment of N.Z. Artillery, is attached under the provisions of paragraph 141, General Regulations, 1927. Dated 9th February, 1937.
REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.
Lieutenant H. M. Evans, from the Reserve of Officers, to be Lieutenant, with seniority from 28th January, 1933, and is posted to the 18th Medium Battery. Dated 9th February, 1937.
2nd Lieutenant A. M. Jordan ceases to be posted to the 3rd Field Battery and is attached to the Auckland (East Coast) Mounted Rifles. Dated 9th February, 1937.
N.Z. CORPS OF SIGNALS.
