Vesting a Reserve in the Mackenzie County Council.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 5th day of March, 1937.

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for plantation purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Mackenzie:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Mackenzie, in trust, for plantation purposes.

SCHEDULE.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 220 acres, more or less, being parts Reserves 180 and 2014, and Reserve 4368, Block XIII, Tekapo Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-east and north-west generally by other parts of Reserves 180 and 2014, 2400 links, 1143·9 links, 961·5 links, 740·4 links, and by a public road, 1286·4 links; again towards the north-east by the Pukaki Fairlie Road, 626·2 links; towards the south-east and south-west generally by Reserve 3864, 6744·5 links, 2500 links, 1270·3 links, and 2630 links; and towards the west generally by a two-chain reserve along the bank of the River Tekapo. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 7217A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Rural Intermediate Credit Board.—Transfer of Functions to Members of Board of State Advances Corporation.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 5th day of March, 1937.

THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by section forty of the State Advances Corporation Act, 1934–35, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby fix the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, as the date on which the members of the Rural Intermediate Credit Board established under the Rural Intermediate Credit Act, 1927, shall go out of office, and doth declare that on and after the said date the persons who for the time being are the members of the Board of Management of the State Advances Corporation of New Zealand shall constitute the Rural Intermediate Credit Board.

Placing Part of Hay’s Stream under Papakura Town Board.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by section sixty-two of the Health Act, 1920, it is provided that the Governor-General may, if he thinks fit, in the interests of public health, by notice in the Gazette, place any specified water-course, stream, lake, or other source of water-supply, or any specified portion thereof, under the control of any local authority, for the purpose of preventing the pollution thereof, notwithstanding that it may not be within the district of that local authority, or on land belonging to that local authority:

And whereas the Papakura Town Board is desirous of obtaining control of portion of Hay’s Stream from which the Papakura water-supply is drawn, in order more effectively to control sources of pollution of such supply:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on me by section sixty-two of the Health Act, 1920, do by this notice place all those portions of Hay’s Stream and its tributaries from the intake of the Papakura water-supply to the sources of that stream and its tributaries under the control of the Papakura Town Board for the purpose of preventing the pollution thereof.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 24th day of February, 1937.
