WHANGAROA COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

Notice is hereby given that the Whangaroa County Council proposes to take under the Public Works Act, 1928, for a public road two parcels of land containing respectively twenty-nine and two-tenths perches (29.2 perches) and thirty-four and four-tenths perches (34.4 perches), being parts of Lot 9 of Deposited Plan No. 18097, being portion of Old Land Claim 549, situate in Block VI, Whangaroa Survey District, as shown on Survey Office Plan No. 28833 and coloured red. Such plan is open for inspection at the office of the Whangaroa County Council at Kaeo.

All persons affected who have any well-grounded objection to the taking of the said land shall state such objection in writing to the said Council within forty days from the first publication of this notice.

“'That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. G. GREY CAMPBELL, Public Accountant, of Auckland, be appointed liquidator for the purpose of such winding up.'”

(a) That at a meeting of the above-named company held on Thursday, the 11th day of February, 1937, the following extraordinary resolution was passed : “That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up and that the company be wound up voluntarily”; and

(b) That at a meeting of the above company held on Tuesday, the 16th day of February, 1937, the following resolution was passed : “That Mr. EGERTON GILL, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator for the purpose of winding up.”

All persons or companies having claims against the above-named company are required to send full particulars thereof to the undersigned on or before the 31st day of March, 1937, otherwise they may be excluded from participation in any distribution of assets.

Notice is hereby given that by entry in its minute-book the above-named company on the 9th day of February, 1937, passed a resolution for voluntary winding up, and that at a meeting of the creditors of the company held on Thursday, the 18th day of February, 1937, the under-signed was appointed liquidator of the company.

MEMORANDUM TO CLIENTS AND OTHERS.

Following the registration in New Zealand of Watson Victor, Limited, an associated company which has taken over the business heretofore carried on by W. Watson and Sons, Limited, in New Zealand, it has been decided for business purposes to register under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1933, a new New Zealand company to be known as W. Watson and Sons, Limited. There will be thus no break in the continuity of the business and affairs heretofore carried on by W. Watson and Sons, Limited, which business and affairs have already been taken over by Watson Victor, Limited.

CHANGE OF NAME.

JOHN THOMPSON ROBINSON, heretofore called and known by the name of JOHN THOMPSON, of the City of Wellington, in the Dominion of New Zealand, Plumber, hereby give public notice that on the 13th day of February, 1937, I formally and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of my said name of John Thompson and then assumed and adopted and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of John Thompson Robinson instead of the said name of John Thompson. And I give further notice that by a deed-poll dated the 13th day of February, 1937, duly executed and attested and enrolled at the office of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Wellington on the 18th day of February, 1937, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said name of John Thompson and declared that I had assumed and adopted and intended thenceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of John Thompson Robinson instead of John Thompson and so as to be at all times thereafter called, known, and described by the name of John Thompson Robinson exclusively.
