Article 109: Cancel, and substitute:—

  1. Enrolment on Discharge from Seagoing Forces.—Men who, on completion of their engagements in the seagoing forces, do not desire to re-engage therein, should, if recommended for enrolment, be encouraged to join Class A of the Active Reserve, if eligible. Those who elect to join the Active Reserve will be required to make application on form N.Z.D. R. 2A (see Navy Order No. 566), as in the case of other candidates, the application form—completed except for the certificate of enrolment—being forwarded to the Registrar as in the case of other candidates. Provided vacancies exist, the Registrar will complete the enrolment and issue a certificate of service in the Reserve and a copy of the regulations. All such cases of provisional enrolment should be included in the return to be forwarded by Article 88.

Article 110: Cancel, and substitute:—

  1. Enrolment in Class A (Inactive Reserve).—A rating who is required to enrol in Class A (Inactive Reserve) should, before discharge, be informed by an officer that he is required to report himself in writing annually on the 1st January to the Registrar, furnishing his full address and stating the occupation he is following in civil life, and to notify any changes in his address as they occur.
