NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND•FOR PUBLIC WORKS.

N OTICE is hereby given that the Whakatane Harbour
Board proposes under the provisions of the Harbours
Act, 1923, and the Whakatane Harbour Act, 1921, and the
Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—
namely, affording access from King Street and from McAllister
Street respectively to land intended to be subdivided into
parcels or allotments, namely, Allotments 295A and 296,
Parish of Waimana, and lands and foreshore adjoining the
same—and for such public work the lands described in the
Schedule hereto are required to be taken :
And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land
so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the
Whakatane Harbour Board, The Strand, Whakatane, and is
open for inspection without fee by any person during office
hours :
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work
or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded
objections thereto must state their objections in writing and
send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication
of this notice to the said Board at its said address.
SCHEDULE.
One (1) rood twenty-seven (27) perches and four-tenths of a
perch, part of Allotment 272, Parish of Waimana, and shown
coloured purple on the said plan.
One (1) rood four (4) perches and twenty-two hundredths of
a perch, part of Allotment 299 of the Parish of Waimana, and
shown coloured yellow on the said plan.
Three (3) roods fifteen (15) perches and forty-three
hundredths of a perch, and twelve (12) perches and twenty-
three hundredths of a perch, parts of Allotment 300 of the
Parish of Waimana, and shown coloured blue on the said plan.
One (1) acre two (2) roods six (6) perches and six-tenths of a
perch, part of Allotment 268 of the Parish of Waimana, and
shown coloured neutral on the said plan.
Two (2) roods fourteen (14) perches and forty-one hundredths
of a perch, part of Allotment 269 of the Parish of Waimana,
and shown coloured neutral on the said plan.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and
the Public Works Act, 1928.
N OTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei Borough
Council proposes under the provisions of the above-
mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work—namely,
the construction of a road to provide an additional cattle
route required immediately, and in connection with a scheme
to provide additional outlets for traffic—and for the purposes
of such public work the lands described in the schedule hereto
are required to be taken : And notice is hereby further given
that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited
in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council,
situate in Bank Street, and is open for inspection without
fee by all persons during ordinary office hours :
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work
or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to the
taking of the lands must state their objections in writing, and
send the same within forty days from the first publication of
this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Bank
Street.
