ONEHUNGA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 8 of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1936, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Onehunga Borough Council hereby resolves by way of special order—
(1) To borrow the sum of £15,000 for the purpose of the reclamation, improvement, and development of portions of the Waikaraka Cemetery and the Waikaraka Recreation Reserve, and for the other purposes set out in the said section 8 of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1936.
(2) That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the said loan of £15,000 the said Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property in the Borough of Onehunga, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan which is for a period of twenty years at a rate of interest of £3 10s. per centum per annum, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty years or until the said loan is fully paid off.
The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Onehunga was hereto affixed on the 1st day of December, 1936, in the presence of—
