GALWAY, Governor-General.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of an aerodrome, and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of New Plymouth as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fourteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 1st day of December, 1936.

Change of Name of “Waari Hamlet” to “Sunnyvale,” County of Waitemata.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it is considered expedient that the name of the locality known as “Waari Hamlet,” in the County of Waitemata, should be changed to “Sunnyvale”:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Designation of Districts Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the name of the locality known as “Waari Hamlet,” in the County of Waitemata, shall be and the same is hereby altered to “Sunnyvale,” and do assign the last-mentioned name to such locality accordingly; and also do hereby proclaim and declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, not being earlier than six months after the first publication thereof in the Gazette.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of November, 1936.

Land set apart as an Endowment for Primary Education.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by subsection nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date hereof the land comprised in the pieces of closed road described in the First Schedule hereto, being land which intersects the endowment for primary education described in the Second Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be added to the said endowment.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 3 roods 32 perches, more or less, being road closed by Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 24th September, 1936, at page 1773, and now known as Section 43, Block V, Tuturau Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 20/806A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 98 acres 0 roods 7 perches, more or less, being part of Section 11, Block V, Tuturau Survey District, and being part of the land reserved for educational purposes by notice published on page 181 of the Otago Provincial Gazette dated 3rd July, 1867, and apportioned for an endowment for primary education by notice published in a supplement to the New Zealand Gazette of the 6th June, 1878, and dated 12th June, 1878, page 841. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 20/806A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged purple.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 1st day of December, 1936.
