TARANAKI ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the
Taranaki Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :-

“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest,
and other charges on a loan of £3,800 authorized to be raised
by the Taranaki Electric-power Board under the above-
mentioned Act for constructing, erecting, and carrying out
“electric works” as defined by the Electric-power Boards
Act, 1925, and the doing of all other acts and things authorized
in that connection and found lawfully necessary and expedient
for and in connection with the distribution and sale of electric
energy and power within the Clifton County Special-rating
Area No. 2 of the Taranaki Electric-power District, as con-
tituted by resolution of the Board passed on the twenty-first
day of February, 1936, and recorded in the minutes of its
proceedings of that date, at pages 1907 and 1908, and the
acquisition, erection, and/or purchase of land, buildings,
easements, plant, machinery, material and things required
for or incidental to such distribution and sale, and the doing
of all other acts and things authorized in that connection by
the said Act, the said Taranaki Electric-power Board hereby
makes and levies a special rate of 41/100th of one penny in
the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of capital
value) of all rateable property of the said Clifton County
Special-rating Area No. 2, the boundaries whereof are
described in said resolution of the twenty-first day of
February, 1936, and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable
yearly on the first day of October in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years
or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a
resolution passed at a duly convened meeting of the Taranaki
Electric-power Board held on the 20th day of November, 1936.

GILMORE OIL COMPANY (NEW ZEALAND), LIMITED.

IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of section 232 of the
Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of the
members of the above-named company will be held at the
registered office of the company, 15 Fort Street, Auckland,
New Zealand, on Friday, the 18th day of December, 1936,
at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of having an
account laid before them showing the manner in which the
winding up has been conducted and the property of the
company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that
may be given by the liquidator.

the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of

Thursday, the 17th day of December, 1936, for the purpose
of having an account laid before the meeting showing the

determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the
matter of HAYWARD TIMBER COMPANY, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that an order was made by the
Supreme Court of New Zealand at Hamilton on the
23rd day of November, 1936, confirming the reduction of the
capital of the above company from £10,000 to £1,000, and
requiring that the company should for six months from the
date of such order add to its name as the last words thereof
the words “and Reduced,” and approving the following
minute to be registered at the office of the Registrar of
Companies at Auckland :-

“The capital of Hayward Timber Company, Limited,
henceforth is £1,000 divided into 10,000 shares of 2s. each
instead of the capital of £10,000 divided into 10,000 shares
of £1 each, and at the time of registration of this minute the
sum of 2s. per share has been and is deemed to be paid up on
each of the said shares.”

POHANGINA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and
of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Pohan-
gina County Council hereby resolves as follows :-

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest and sinking fund and other charges on the Pohangina
County Council Awahou Redemption Loan, 1936, of £490,
authorized to be raised by the Pohangina County Council
under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming
the outstanding liability in respect of the Pohangina County
Council Awahou Riding Bridges Loan, 1926, of £550, the said
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-seven-
teenth of a penny (1/17d.) in the pound sterling on the rate-
able value (on the basis of the capital value) on all rateable
property in the Awahou Riding of the Pohangina County,
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of such loan and to be repayable half-
yearly on the first day of August and the first day of Feb-
ruary in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan
is fully paid off.”
