Classification of Roads in Hobson County.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, I, Robert Semple, Minister of Transport, do hereby revoke the Warrants described in the First Schedule hereto so far as they relate to the classification of the roads described in the Second Schedule hereto and situated in the Hobson County, and do hereby declare that the said roads shall belong to the class of roads shown in the said Second Schedule.

Roads classified in Class Four: Available for the use thereon of any heavy motor-vehicle (other than a multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle) which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 4½ tons, or any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 6½ tons:—

Whangarei–Dargaville Main Highway No. 8 (all that portion within Hobson County).

Dargaville–Tikinui Main Highway No. 8 (all that portion within Hobson County).

Dargaville–Maungaturoto Main Highway No. 9 (all that portion within Hobson County).

Tangowahine Valley Main Highway No. 392.

Dargaville–Kaihu Main Highway No. 393 (all that portion within Hobson County).

Waipoua Forest Main Highway No. 393 (all that portion within Hobson County).

Bayley’s Coast Main Highway No. 444 (all that portion within Hobson County).

Miritai–Tauraroa Main Highway No. 445 (all that portion within Hobson County).

Kirikopuni–Parakao Main Highway No. 459 (all that portion within Hobson County).

Kaikohe–Donnelly’s Crossing Main Highway No. 483 (all that portion within Hobson County).

Notice of Intention to take Land for the Purposes of a Road in Block III, Waiwera Survey District.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Waiwera, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
