CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Acts amending the same.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Christchurch, a body corporate constituted under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, proposes under the provisions of the Local Authorities Empowering (Aviation Encouragement) Act, 1929, the Public Works Act, 1928, the Public Works Amendment Act, 1935, and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to take under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and its amendments, the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the following public work, that is to say—for the purposes of an aerodrome: And notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the land to be taken and the names of the owners and occupiers of such land is deposited at the office of the Town Clerk at Christchurch aforesaid where it lies open for public inspection daily without fee during all reasonable hours; and that all persons affected shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth in writing such objections, and send such writing within forty days from the 9th day of October, 1936, being the date of the first publication of this notice, addressed to “The Town Clerk, Christchurch.”

All that parcel of land situated in Blocks V and VI of the Christchurch Survey District, containing by admeasurement 79 acres, more or less, being that portion of Reserve No. 947 (in red) bounded on the north by Harewood Road, on the west by Sinclair’s Road, on the south by Orchard Road, and on the east by Rural Section 7957. As the same is more particularly shown on a plan deposited in the Survey Office at Christchurch, and therein numbered L.P. 1289 and therein coloured red in outline.

All that parcel of land situated in Block VI of the Christchurch Survey District, containing by admeasurement 94 acres 1 rood, more or less, being that portion of Reserve 947 (in red) bounded on the north by Harewood Road, on the west by Rural Section 7957, on the south by Orchard Road, and on the east by Rural Section 7597. As the same is more particularly shown on a plan deposited in the Survey Office at Christchurch, and therein numbered L.P. 1289 and therein coloured red in outline.

All that parcel of land situated in Blocks V and VI of the Christchurch Survey District, containing by admeasurement 334 acres, more or less, being part of Reserve 947 (in red) bounded on the north by Orchard Road, on the west by Sinclair’s Road, on the south by Rural Section 6113, on the south-west and west by Rural Section 6336, on the south-east by Rural Sections 6152 and 7714, and on the north-east by Dureys Road, and on the east by Rural Sections 7850 and 4897. As the same is more particularly shown on a plan deposited in the Survey Office at Christchurch, and therein numbered L.P. 1289 and therein coloured red in outline.

All that parcel of land situated in Block VI of the Christchurch Survey District, containing by admeasurement 20 acres, more or less, being Rural Section 7957, bounded on the north by Harewood Road, on the west by the parcel of land first mentioned in this notice, on the south-west by Orchard Road, and on the east by the parcel of land secondly mentioned in this notice, and being the whole of the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 394, folio 99 (Canterbury Land Registry Office). As the same is more particularly shown on a plan deposited in the Survey Office at Christchurch, and therein numbered L.P. 1289 and therein coloured green in outline.

All those parcels of land situated in Block VI of the Christchurch Survey District, containing by admeasurement together 4 acres 3 roods 27 8/10 perches, more or less, being parts of Lot 2 on plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Christchurch as number 4063, parts of Rural Section 4897, and being parts of the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 291, folio 211 (Canterbury Land Registry Office). As the same are more particularly shown on a plan deposited in the Survey Office at Christchurch, and therein numbered S.P. 2412 and therein coloured green in outline.

All those parcels of land situated in Block VI of the Christchurch Survey District, containing by admeasurement together 8 acres 3 roods 2 4/5 perches, more or less, being parts of Rural Section 7850 and being parts of the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 392, folio 183 (Canterbury Land Registry Office). As the same is more particularly shown on a plan deposited in the Survey Office at Christchurch, and therein numbered S.P. 2412 and therein coloured red in outline.

CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Christchurch Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of six thousand five hundred pounds (£6,500) authorized to be raised by the Christchurch Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a stormwater sewer in Durham Street, in the City of Christchurch, the said Christchurch Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one one-hundred-and-twenty-eighth (1/128) of a penny in the pound upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property of the sewerage area comprising all that area of land defined in the Second Schedule of the Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act, 1907, and as added to by resolutions of the Board bearing date the seventeenth day of February, 1909, the fifteenth day of February, 1910, the fifteenth day of March, 1910, the twentieth day of January, 1914, the seventeenth day of September, 1918, the seventeenth day of December, 1918, and the sixteenth day of September, 1919, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the thirty-first day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

THE HAMILTON CO-OPERATIVE PURE MILK SUPPLY COMPANY, LIMITED.
IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held on the 29th day of September, 1936, the following special resolution was duly passed:—
“That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up.”

ELECTION OF MEMBERS OF THE PHARMACY BOARD OF NEW ZEALAND.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is my intention to proceed on Thursday, the 12th day of November, 1936, to the election of eight registered pharmaceutical chemists of New Zealand to serve as members of the Pharmacy Board of New Zealand in the place of the members who retire on the 31st day of December, 1936, and are eligible for re-election. Members will require to be elected as follows:—
Two members for the Central District, to be elected by the registered pharmaceutical chemists residing within the District of Wellington, the boundaries of which are the same as those of the Provincial Districts of Wellington, Hawke’s Bay, Nelson, and Marlborough. The retiring members are CHARLES LOUIS THOMAS and AUDLEY LIVINGSTONE HARMAN, who are eligible for re-election.
Two members for the District of Auckland, to be elected by the registered pharmaceutical chemists residing within the District of Auckland, the boundaries of which are the same as those of the Provincial Districts of Auckland and Taranaki. The retiring members are HAROLD TREVELYAN KING and EDWARD SMITH, who are eligible for re-election.
Two members for the District of Canterbury, to be elected by the registered pharmaceutical chemists residing within the District of Canterbury, the boundaries of which are the same as those of the Provincial Districts of Canterbury and Westland. The retiring members are RALPH READER PARNHAM and ARTHUR JOSEPH DERBIDGE, who are eligible for re-election.
Two members for the District of Otago, to be elected by the registered pharmaceutical chemists residing within the District of Otago. The retiring members are JAMES WATERS and ROBERT MERRETT WILKINSON, who are eligible for re-election.
Nominations will close at the office of the Registrar, 59 Cambridge Terrace, Wellington, C. 3, at 4 p.m. on Monday, the 26th day of October, 1936.
Forms of nomination may be obtained on application to the Registrar or the Deputy Registrars.
