WAIMARINO COUNTY COUNCIL.

SPECIAL ORDER MAKING AND LEVYING A CONSOLIDATED SPECIAL RATE.

WHEREAS the Waimarino County Council has exercised the powers conferred upon it by the provisions of Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and has converted into new securities the securities of all loans subject to Part II of the said Act in accordance with the provisions of the Waimarino County Loans Conversion Order, 1935, and as security for all such new securities issued thereunder has made and levied a consolidated special rate on a differential basis for the several legal subdivisions of its district of all rateable property within its district, and is now desirous of making and levying a special rate on a differential basis as security for all the original securities issued in respect of its loans which are not subject to Part II of the said Act, the Waimarino County Council, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 7 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Amendment Act, 1934, hereby makes and levies by way of special order a special rate upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the district to provide the annual interest, sinking fund instalments, repayment of principal, and other charges in respect of the securities which are not subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act, and that such special rate shall be made and levied on a differential basis of the several ridings of the district as described in the first schedule hereto, and shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year until such securities are fully paid off; such differential rate shall be in lieu of the several special rates described in the second schedule hereto made and levied as security for the several loans enumerated in the said second schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

Ohakune Riding .. Five-sixteenths (5/16) of a penny in the pound on all rateable property in the Ohakune Riding.
Manganui Riding .. Three thirty-seconds (3/32) of a penny in the pound on all rateable property in the Manganui Riding.
Huikumu Riding .. Seven-eighths (7/8) of a penny in the pound on all rateable property in the Huikumu Riding.
Parapara Riding .. Three-eighths (3/8) of a penny in the pound on all rateable property in the Parapara Riding.

I, David Joseph Berry, Chairman of the Waimarino County Council, do hereby certify that the above-written resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Waimarino County Council held in the County Offices, Seddon Street, Raetihi, on Saturday, the 12th day of September, 1936, and was duly submitted for confirmation as a special order at the ordinary meeting of the said Council held on the 10th day of October, 1936.

In testimony whereof the common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waimarino was hereunto affixed on the 10th day of October, 1936, in pursuance of a resolution of the said Council in the presence of—

NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of section 232 of the Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of the above-named company will be held at the office of the liquidator, 1st Floor, Acacia Buildings, O’Connell Street, Auckland, on Friday, the 30th day of October, 1936, at 2 p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before the meeting showing the manner in which the winding up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company held on Friday, 9th October, 1936, the following special resolution was duly passed :—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily.”

At the same meeting Mr. ROBERT ARTHUR GLEN, of Wellington, Chartered Accountant, was duly appointed liquidator for the purpose of the above winding up.
