Additional Land at Springfield taken for the Purposes of the Midland Railway (Springfield Deviation).

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Springfield Deviation of the Midland Railway to take further land at Springfield in addition to land previously acquired for the purpose of the said railway :

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land :—

Situated in Block XII, Kowai Survey District, Tawera County. (S.O. S.P. 2424.)

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 4348, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured violet and yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of September, 1936.

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in the County of Whangarei, near Whakapara.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Whangarei–Kamo Extension Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road :

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section two hundred and twenty-six of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Whangarei County Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 4338, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 30th day of September, 1936.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Foxton–New Plymouth Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road :

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section two hundred and twenty-six of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Oroua County Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.
