NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act, 1924, and its amendments, the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes under the provisions of the above-named Acts, and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, for street purposes at Mills Road in the City of Wellington—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the first, second, and third schedules hereto is required to be taken.
And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work, or the taking of such land should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

TAUPIRI DRAINAGE AND RIVER BOARD.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL RATE FOR CONVERSION LOAN.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, the Taupiri Drainage and River Board Empowering Act, 1936, the Taupiri Drainage and River District Amendment Act, 1931, and the Taupiri Drainage and River Board Loans Conversion Order, 1935, the Taupiri Drainage and River Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the new securities authorized to be issued by the Taupiri Drainage and River Board under the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the above-mentioned Order in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set out in the First Schedule to that Order, the said Taupiri Drainage and River Board hereby makes and levies the undermentioned special rates on the acreage basis on all rateable property within the Board’s district. Such rates shall be made and levied on a differential basis for each of the several legal subdivisions of the Taupiri Drainage and River District according to the classification made and rating.proportions fixed by the said Board as follows:—

Such special rates shall be annually recurring rates during the currency of such securities and be payable half-yearly on the first day of October and the first day of April in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the first day of April, 1966, or until such securities are fully paid off.

I, JOHN SYDNEY HICKEY, Chairman of the Opunake Harbour Board, do hereby certify that pursuant to the provisions of subsection (2) of section 9 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, a resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Opunake Harbour Board held on the 7th day of August, 1936, and confirmed on the 21st day of August, 1936, providing for the issue under Part II of that Act of new securities in conversion of the existing securities in respect of the loans set forth in the First Schedule to the Opunake Harbour Board Loans Conversion Order, 1936, as published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 51 of the 30th July, 1936, at page 1480.
