Lands in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 25th August, 1936.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o'clock a.m. on Monday, 28th September, 1936.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Thursday, 1st October, 1936, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Kawhia County.—Kawhia North Survey District.
(Exempt from rental payments and mortgage interest payments for three years.*)
SECTION 10, Block IV: Area, 607 acres 3 roods. Capital value, £300 ; half-yearly rent, £6.
Weighted with £830 for improvements, consisting of dwelling, cow-shed, clearing and grassing, road-boundary fencing, subdivisional fencing, and half-share in boundary-fencing. This sum is payable in cash or by a deposit of £30, the balance of £800 to remain on instalment mortgage payable in the case of a New Zealand discharged soldier over a period of thirty-six years and a half by instalments of principal and interest (5 per cent.) combined totalling £24 each half-year; in the case of a civilian, over a period of thirty-four years and a half by instalments of principal and interest (5½ per cent.) combined totalling £26 each half-year.
A grazing property situated on Koponui Road, nine miles from Oparau Post-office, School, and Dairy Factory, and forty-three miles from Te Awamutu Railway-station ; access by metalled road forty-two miles and formed clay road one mile. Land undulating to hilly and broken. Approximately 100 acres in medium pasture, 100 acres in worn-out pasture, 180 acres bush land felled and grassed (now reverted), balance in natural state of standing bush.
- No rent will be charged for three years after payment of the first half-year's rent, and no interest will be charged under the instalment mortgage for three years, provided a sum equivalent to the concessions granted is expended each year in effecting permanent improvements to the land.

Taumarunui County.—Ongarue Survey District.
(Exempt from rental payments for two years.*)
Section 13, Block X : Area, 560 acres. Capital value, £380 ; half-yearly rent, £7 12s.
Weighted with £460 for improvements, consisting of cottage, wool-shed, felling and grassing, road-boundary fencing, sub-divisional fencing, boundary-fencing. This sum is payable in cash or by a deposit of £325, the balance of £135 to remain on instalment mortgage payable in the case of a New Zealand discharged soldier over a period of twenty years by instalments of principal and interest (5 per cent.) combined totalling £5 7s. 8d. each half-year ; in the case of a civilian, over a period of twenty years by instalments of principal and interest (5½ per cent.) combined totalling £5 12s. 2d. each half-year.
A grazing property situated on Koromiko Road, seven miles from Waimiha Railway-station, Post-office, School, and cream-collection depot ; access by metalled road. Land in front is easy to steep, at back of cleared area it is easy undulating, the area in standing bush is steep and broken. Approximately 180 acres in worn-out pasture, balance of 380 acres in natural state of standing bush. Ragwort requires attention.
- After payment of the first half-year's rent no rent will be charged for a period of two years.

THIRD-CLASS LAND.
Waitomo County.—Whareorino Survey District.
(Exempt from rental payments for five years and mortgage interest payments for two years.*)

Section 5, Block VII : Area, 366 acres 2 roods. Capital value £135 ; half-yearly rent, £2 14s.
Weighted with £211 for improvements, consisting of dwelling of four rooms, outbuildings, clearing and grassing, and fencing. This sum is payable in cash or by means of a deposit of £11, the balance of £200 to remain on mortgage to the State Advances Corporation of New Zealand payable over a period of twenty-five years by means of quarterly instalments of principal and interest combined with interest at the rate ruling as at date of selection.
A grazing property situated on Mangatoa Road, two miles from Waikawau School, twenty-three miles from Awakino Post-office, twenty-seven miles from Mokau Dairy Factory, and seventy-one miles from Te Kuiti Railway-station ; access by metalled road. Fairly broken country with small flats along the road frontage. Approximately 80 acres in worn-out pasture, 80 acres bush land felled and grassed (now reverted), balance in natural state of standing bush. Ragwort requires attention.
- No rent will be charged for five years after payment of the first half-year's rent, and no interest will be charged under the mortgage for a period of two years, provided a sum equivalent to the concessions granted is expended each year in effecting permanent improvements to the land.

Education Reserve in Wellington Land District for Lease by Public Auction.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington, 26th August, 1936.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned Education Reserve will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, at 2.30 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, 30th September, 1936, under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—EDUCATION RESERVE.
Town of Mangaweka.—Town District of Mangaweka.
SECTION 13 : Area, 1 rood. Upset annual rental, £1 10s. Weighted with the sum of £51 (to be paid in cash) for improvements, consisting of an old cottage and fencing.
Situated in the Main Street, Mangaweka, five chains from the post-office and one mile from railway-station. Section is level and is served by town sewerage, water-supply, and electricity.
Term of lease, twenty-one years, with perpetual right of renewal at revaluation.
Form of lease may be perused and full particulars obtained from the undersigned.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, 15th September, 1936.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, on Thursday, 17th September, 1936, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.
NOTE.—This land is offered in terms of section 153 of the Land Act, 1924, which provides that no right to any mineral under the surface shall pertain to the lessee, whose rights shall be to the surface soil only.
