Thomas William Byers, of Takapuna, Auckland,

to be an officer for the purposes of Part II of the first-mentioned Act in respect of the Auckland Acclimatization District.

THE OTAGO MOUNTED RIFLES.

Lieutenant J. Fleming, from the Southland Regiment, to be Lieutenant, with seniority from 13th July, 1936. Dated 12th August, 1936.

THE WELLINGTON REGIMENT.

Thomas Thornton to be Lieutenant and Quartermaster, 1st Battalion. Dated 3rd August, 1936.

Lieutenant W. S. I. Mahon, 2nd Cadet Battalion, resigns his commission. Dated 11th August, 1936.

THE WELLINGTON WEST COAST REGIMENT.

Captain G. R. Haldane, 1st Cadet Battalion, to be Major. Dated 16th July, 1936.

Maximus Joseph Bay to be 2nd Lieutenant, and is posted to the 1st Cadet Battalion. Dated 7th August, 1936.

THE HAWKE'S BAY REGIMENT.

Lieutenant I. A. Barnard, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 5. Dated 7th August, 1936.

THE CANTERBURY REGIMENT.

The undermentioned 2nd Lieutenants, 3rd Cadet Battalion, to be lieutenants:—

G. Guy. Dated 9th November, 1934.
H. E. Carter. Dated 1st August, 1936.

THE SOUTHLAND REGIMENT.

Lieutenant J. Fleming ceases to be attached to and is transferred to the Otago Mounted Rifles. Dated 12th August, 1936.

2nd Lieutenant A. F. Ellis, 1st Cadet Battalion, to be Lieutenant. Dated 16th July, 1936.

N.Z. CHAPLAINS DEPARTMENT.

W. J. Thompson, Chaplain, 4th Class (Salvation Army), is transferred from R.D. 5 to R.D. 10. Dated 11th August, 1936.
