Restricting the Exportation of Potatoes from New Zealand.—

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 12th day of August, 1936.

THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section forty-seven of the Customs Act, 1913, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and being of opinion that the prohibition hereinafter enacted is necessary in the public interest, doth hereby prohibit the exportation of potatoes from New Zealand save with the consent of the Minister of Customs.

NOTE.—Applications for permits to export potatoes should be made in the first instance to the Department of Agriculture at the port of intended shipment.

Colonel F. Symon, C.B., C.M.G., D.S.O., Regiment of Royal N.Z. Artillery, A.D.C. to the King, relinquishes the appointment of Director of Artillery, G.H.Q., and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (a). Dated 5th August, 1936.
