The Northern Side of Portion of Villa Street, in the Borough of Masterton, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 14th day of July, 1936.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Masterton Borough Council on the seventeenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five, in so far as it affects the portion of street described in the Schedule hereto, viz.:—
“That the Masterton Borough Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the Borough of Masterton, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the northern side of the portion of Villa Street fronting part Lot 63 of 71, Section 57/8; Lot 65 of 74; part 63 of 71, Section 57/8; Lots 67, 69, 71 of 74, Section 57/8, D.P. 202, Villa Street”;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the northern side of the portion of Villa Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE.
THE northern side of all that portion of street, situated in the Wellington Land District, Borough of Masterton, known as Villa Street, fronting Lots 67, 69, and 71 of Subdivision of Sections 57 and 58, Masterton Small-farm Settlement, on D.P. 202. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 90925, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged blue.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section three of the Masseurs Registration Act, 1920, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
Mary Isabel Saunders
to be a member of the Masseurs Registration Board under the aforesaid Act.

Officer authorized to take and receive Statutory Declarations.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that Arnold Hector Norrie, being an officer in the service of the Crown holding the office of Head Teacher, Native School, at Parinui, Pipiriki, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 10th day of July, 1936.

Warrant authorizing the Franklin County Council to construct a Bridge on the Mangatangi-Miranda Road (together with Approaches thereto), and apportioning the Cost.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by section one hundred and thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers and authorities in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorize the Franklin County Council to construct the bridge (together with approaches thereto) described in the Schedule hereto; and I do also declare that the cost thereof, less any contribution made thereto by the Government of New Zealand, shall be borne by the Franklin County Council and the Waikato County Council as follows, viz.: The Waikato County Council shall pay the sum of three hundred pounds (£300) and the Franklin County Council shall pay the balance of such cost respectively; and I do further direct that any contribution hereby required to be made as aforesaid by the Waikato County Council shall be paid from time to time, in the proportion hereinbefore prescribed, to the Franklin County Council out of the funds of the Waikato County Council within a period of one month after demand in writing made by or on behalf of the Franklin County Council, and all such payments shall be made from time to time to the Clerk of the Franklin County Council for and on behalf of the Waikato County Council.
SCHEDULE.
THAT bridge (together with approaches thereto) in the Auckland Land District on the Mangatangi to Miranda Road between Allotment 164, Koheroa Parish, and Lot 10, D.P. 7211, of Wharekawa No. 2 Block, Block XVI, Opaheke Survey District. As the site of the said bridge is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 91702, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 9th day of July, 1936.

Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces amended.
AMENDMENTS No. 48.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend, in the manner and to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto, the regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces published in the Gazette dated the twenty-fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and I do hereby declare that the amendments hereby made shall take effect as from the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.

REGULATIONS FOR THE NEW ZEALAND MILITARY FORCES, 1927.

PARAGRAPH 854. Delete from “Replacements” in line 6 to “loss” in line 9.

Paragraph 855. Delete the last subparagraph, lines 4 to 7, and substitute:—
“Manuals issued to officers and other ranks of the Territorial Force or the Cadets remain the property of the Department, and must be delivered up on demand. Form N.Z. 148 will be utilized for all receipts and issues, and the method of accounting for manuals will be similar to that for clothing and equipment.
“Manuals issued to officers and other ranks of the Territorial Force or the Cadets will be returned to unit headquarters on transfer to another unit or to the Reserve, or on posting to the Retired List, or on resignation or discharge.”
