EVIDENCE having been furnished of the loss of certificate
of title, Vol. 23, folio 265 (Marlborough Registry),
for Lot 2 on deposited plan No. 788, part of Section 52, Omaka
District, corner of McLauchlan and St. Andrew Streets,
whereof GILBERT HENRY JONES, of Blenheim, Agent,
is the registered proprietor, and application having been made
to me for the issue of a new certificate of title in lieu thereof,
I hereby give notice that it is my intention to issue such new
certificate of title accordingly after the 11th of June, 1936.

MARLBOROUGH ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926,
and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the
Marlborough Electric-power Board hereby resolves as
follows :-
"That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the
half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of
the Marlborough Electric-power Board Plant and Power-
house Loan of £22,000, 1937, authorized to be raised by the
Marlborough Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned
Act for the purpose of purchasing and erecting additional
stand-by plant and extending the present power-house situated
at Murphy's Road, Springlands, Blenheim, the said Board
hereby makes and levies a special rate of fifty-five thousandths
of a penny (0.055d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on
the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the
Marlborough Electric-power District, and that such special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the first day of
February and first day of August in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty
(20) years or until the loan is fully paid off."
The above-mentioned resolution was passed at a meeting
of the Marlborough Electric-power Board at a meeting held
on the 19th day of May, 1936.
