WAITEMATA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and amendments and regulations made thereunder respectively, the Waitemata Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“ That, for the purpose of providing half-yearly instalments of principal and interest and other charges on a loan of £100,000 (one hundred thousand pounds) authorized to be raised by the Waitemata Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of purchasing, constructing, and providing electric works as defined in the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, in order to supply and to extend the supply of electricity within the whole of the Waitemata Electric-power District, the Waitemata Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 9/64th (nine sixty-fourths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value, being the capital value of all rateable property in the whole of the Waitemata Electric-power District as defined in the Proclamation proclaiming the said district appearing in the New Zealand Gazette dated the 18th day of October, 1923, and altered by Proclamations appearing in the New Zealand Gazettes dated the 27th day of November, 1924, the 26th day of August, 1926, the 7th day of March, 1929, and the 24th day of January, 1935, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of an extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Waitemata Electric-power Board at a meeting held on Monday, the 18th day of May, 1936.

“ That, for the purpose of providing half-yearly instalments of principal and interest and other charges on a loan of £15,000 (fifteen thousand pounds) authorized to be raised by the Waitemata Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of providing funds for the purposes mentioned under section 118 of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925 (section 118 authorizes the Board to install motors, electric wires, electric lamps, and other fittings and equipment in public or private buildings, works, dwellings, and other places, and to accept payment therefor by instalments), the Waitemata Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 9/256th (nine two-hundred-and-fifty-sixths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value, being the capital value of all rateable property in the whole of the Waitemata Electric-power District as defined in the Proclamation proclaiming the said district appearing in the New Zealand Gazette dated the 18th day of October, 1923, and altered by Proclamations appearing in the New Zealand Gazettes dated the 27th day of November, 1924, the 26th day of August, 1926, the 7th day of March, 1929, and the 24th day of January, 1935, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership existing between Josiah Wilberforce Heath and Sophie Ellen Swan (formerly Heath), carrying on business at Buckland as Farmers, was dissolved as from the 1st day of April, 1936. The business will continue to be carried on by the said Sophie Ellen Swan, to whom all accounts due should be forwarded, and by whom all liabilities will be discharged.

“ That the company having sold its business to the Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Co-op. Assn., Ltd., go into voluntary liquidation, and appoints Charles Douglas Wilson, Public Accountant, of Napier, liquidator.”

NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of section 241 of the Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of the above-named company and a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held at 202–3 Southern Cross Buildings, Chancery Street, Auckland, on Wednesday, 10th June, 1936, at 11 a.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before the meeting showing the manner in which the winding up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the liquidator.
