SCHEDULE.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.-THIRD-CLASS LAND.

Ohura County.—Rangi Survey District.

(National Endowment.)

SECTION 10, Block I : Area, 458 acres. Capital value, £200.
Deposit on deferred payments, £10 : Half-yearly instalment
on deferred payments, £6 3s. 6d. Renewable lease: Half-
yearly rent, £4.

Weighted with £425 for improvements, comprising dwelling,
two sheds, approximately 200 chains fencing, and approximately
200 acres felled. After payment of a deposit of
£195 the balance (£230) may be secured by way of first mortgage
to the Mortgage Corporation of New Zealand with interest
at the rate ruling as at date of selection. The costs for the
completion of the mortgage, amounting to £2 15s., must be
paid immediately an application is declared successful.

A sheep- and cattle-grazing property situated on Opotiki
Road, eight miles from Okahukura Post-office and Railway-
station, and thirteen miles from Taumarunui Saleyards.
The Rangi School is within a few chains of the property.
Access is from Otunui North by metalled road to within three
miles of the section. The property comprises approximately
200 acres fair pasture, 58 acres deteriorated to fern and second
growth, and 200 acres standing bush.

Special Condition.—The lessee shall have no right to cut,
fell, or remove any of the millable timber standing or lying
on the land without first obtaining the consent of the Land
Board which may be given subject to such conditions, including
the payment of royalties, as the Board thinks fit.

Land in Gisborne Land District for Selection on Optional Tenure.

District Lands and Survey Office,

Gisborne, 25th May, 1936.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section
is open for selection on optional tenure under the
Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the
District Lands and Survey Office, Gisborne, up to 4 o'clock p.m.
on Wednesday, 10th June, 1936.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at
the District Lands and Survey Office, Gisborne, on Friday,
12th June, 1936, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant
is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land
Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants.

SCHEDULE.

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.

Wairoa County.—Taramarama Survey District.

(Native Land Settlement.)

SECTION 6, Block XIV : Area, 1,080 acres.* Capital value,
£3,100.† Deposit on deferred payments, £100 : Half-yearly
instalment on deferred payments, £97 10s. Renewable lease :
Half-yearly rent, £77 10s.

Loaded with £200 for buildings, comprising a four-roomed
dwelling (lean-to) built of wood and iron. This sum may be
paid in cash or by twenty-eight half-yearly instalments of
£10 2s., including principal and interest.

  • Area subject to slight alteration on completion of survey.

† Improvements included in the capital value comprise
about 625 acres felling and grassing, about 200 chains internal
fencing, and about 300 chains boundary-fences : total £1,753,
including approximately 40 chains of boundary-fencing and
two gates to be erected by the Crown.

A grazing proposition situated twenty-one miles from
Wairoa (sixteen miles by Waikaremoana Road and five miles
by Ruapapa Road) and four miles from Kora Kora School.
Butter-factory and saleyards at Wairoa. About 455 acres
fern and scrub land mostly unimproved, and about 625 acres
grassed land with scattered fern and scrub. About 100 acres
flat and ploughable, balance broken hill country. Watered
by streams and springs.

Education Reserve in Wellington Land District for Lease by
Public Auction.

District Lands and Survey Office,

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned educa-
tion reserve will be offered for lease by public auction
at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, at
2.30 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, the 8th July, 1936, under
the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the
Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908, and amendments.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—EDUCATION RESERVE.
Marshall Village.—Kiwitea County, Block II, Apiti Survey
District.

SECTION 47 : Area, 1 acre 2 roods 5 perches. Upset annual
rental, 6s. 9d.

Situated near Kiwitea Stream, six miles from Rangiwahia.
Although described as Marshall Village there is no township
on this site. No formed road access at present, some ten
chains of formation being necessary to gain access. Section
is all level, in scrub and rushes, and is low-lying and wet in
winter. Soil is heavy clay loam.

Form of lease may be perused and full particulars obtained
from the undersigned.

Reserve in Wellington Land District for Lease by Public
Auction.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington, 27th May, 1936.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned reserve
will be offered for lease—term, twenty-one years—by
public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, State
Fire Building, Wellington, on Monday, 29th June, 1936, at
11 o'clock a.m., under the provisions of the Public Reserves,
Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
Paekakariki Survey District.

(No local body.)

PART Mana Island : Area, 525 acres. Upset annual rental,
£210.

Weighted with £1,000 for improvements, comprising four-
roomed dwelling, concrete tank, washhouse, wool-shed, and
yards, shed, storehouse, concrete landing and loading wharf,
concrete draining-yard, four wells, ten troughs, three dams,
piping, 500 chains fencing, 80 chains drains, plantations,
road, and 60 acres cultivated and grassed. These improve-
ments are the property of the present lessee and will have
to be paid in cash in the event of any other person than the
present lessee being successful in purchasing the new lease.

Mana Island is situated off the mainland about two miles
from Titahi Bay and about four miles from the Plimmerton
Railway-station, the only access being by water. It comprises
easy undulating land, mostly in native grasses. The soil is
light loam resting on rock formation. The island is watered
by dams and small creeks. Suitable for grazing only.

Abstract of Terms and Conditions of Leasing.

  1. One half-year's rent, together with £1 1s. lease fee, shall
    be deposited by the purchaser of the lease on the fall of the
    hammer, thereafter rent shall be payable half-yearly in advance
    on the first days of January and July of each year during the
    currency of the lease.

  2. The property shall be weighted with £1,000 for improve-
    ments. Should the purchaser of the lease be any person
    other than the person entitled to receive payment for the
    improvements the amount of £1,000 shall, on the fall of the
    hammer, be paid in cash to the Receiver of Land Revenue,
    Wellington.

  3. In the event of any other person than the present lessee
    being the purchaser of the lease, possession will be given on
    the 1st day of September, 1936, and the present lessee will be
    allowed until that date to remove his stock and any effects
    not included in the weighting for improvements.
