Alterations to the Scale of Charges upon the New Zealand Government Railways.
IN pursuance of all powers and authorities enabling me under the Government Railways Act, 1926, and its amendments, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, I, Daniel Giles Sullivan, do hereby make the following alterations in the General Scale of Charges made on the 4th day of November, 1931, and published in the Gazette of the 13th day of November, 1931, and to the Goods-Local Rates Scale of Charges made on the 17th day of October, 1935, and published in the Gazette of the 18th day of October, 1935, in force on the New Zealand Government Railways open for traffic.
GENERAL SCALE OF CHARGES.
PASSSENGERS.
- Sporting and Pleasure Parties.
Paragraphs 1 and 2 : By adding after the words “pleasure parties” the words “as may be approved by the Department”.

Judges proceeding to Shows, Exhibitors, Attendants, Owners, or Trainers travelling in Charge of Live-stock or Racehorses.

ATTENDANTS TRAVELLING IN HORSE-BOXES WITH RACEHORSES.
By omitting paragraphs 1 and 3, and substituting in lieu thereof the following :-
(1) Attendants travelling in horse-boxes accompanying racehorses which are proceeding to compete at, or which are returning after having competed at, a race meeting may, on production of certificates in the following form, be furnished with tickets free of charge for the same journey as that for which the racehorses have been consigned :—

Owners or trainers may obtain one attendant’s ticket for each racehorse consigned by such owner or trainer.
(3) Tickets available for the single journey issued under the provisions of this regulation will be available for one month from the date of commencement of the currency of the ticket in each case. The Department reserves the right to decline any application for tickets under the conditions enumerated in this regulation.
