HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased,
in pursuance of section 49 of the Public Reserves,
Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, to make the following
appointments :

to be a member of the Ashhurst Domain Board in place of
Alfred Warden Trass, resigned.
Walter Henry Purchas,
to be a member of the Lichfield Domain Board in place of
Frederick Henry Churches, resigned.
Horatio Charles Nelson,
to be a member of the South Rakaia Domain Board in place
of George Searight Hardy, deceased.
William David Boyes, and
Joseph Harrison,
to be members of the Glentunnel Domain Board in place of

to be Registrar of Births and Deaths for the District of

to be Deputy Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at
Masterton, and Deputy Registrar at Masterton of the Supreme
Court of New Zealand for the purposes of the Judicature Act,

Classification of Roads in Whangarei County.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me
by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the
Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, I, Robert Semple,
Minister of Transport, do hereby approve of the Whangarei
County Council's proposed classification of the roads described
in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Whangarei County.
SCHEDULE.
WHANGAREI COUNTY.
ROADS classified in Class Four : Available for the use thereon
of any heavy motor-vehicle (other than a multi-axled heavy
motor-vehicle) which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not
more than 4½ tons, or any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle
which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than
6½ tons :—
Carter's Valley Road (Mangapai).
Foote's Road (Helena Bay).
Webb's Road (Helena Bay).
Sloane's Road (Mata).
Dated at Wellington, this 13th day of May, 1936.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block XV, Orahiri Survey
District, for the Purposes of an Aerodrome.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute
a certain public work—to wit, the construction of an aero-
drome—and for the purposes of such public work the land
described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken:
And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land
so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Te
Kuiti, and is there open for inspection ; and that all persons
affected by the execution of the said public work or by the
taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to the
taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send
such writing, within forty days from the first publication of
this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken :
17 acres 0 roods 6 perches.
Being Lot 2, D.P. 7392, being part Te Kumi No. 9 Block.
Situated in Block XV, Orahiri Survey District.
In the Auckland Land District ; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 92222,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, and thereon edged red.
