Article 53 :-
Paragraph (1), line 1: After the word “officer” insert “of the R.N.R. (N.Z.D.)”
Add new paragraph (3) :-
(3) An officer of the R.N.V.R. (N.Z.D.) should make application through the Commanding Officer of his Division.
Renumber present paragraphs (3) and (6) to read (4) and (5).
In paragraph (6) (renumbered (5) ) for “Registrar, R.N.R.” read “Naval Secretary.”

Article 54 :-
Cancel paragraphs (1) and (2).
Paragraph (3), line 2: For “Form T.R.V. 58D” read “Form T.R.V. 58R.”
Paragraph (4), line 1: For “form (S. 206)” read “form (S. 206R).”
Present paragraphs (3), (4), and (5) to be renumbered (1), (2), and (3).

Article 55: Cancel, and substitute—
55. R.N.R. (N.Z.D.) Advisory Committee.—To effect the better administration of the Royal Naval Reserve (New Zealand Division) the Naval Board shall be assisted by an Advisory Committee whose members shall be appointed from time to time by the Naval Board and the names published in the Navy List.
The functions of this Committee are to be so arranged as to enable matters affecting the Royal Naval Reserve to be fully discussed by representative officers.

Article 61 :-
Subparagraph (a): For “twenty-four” substitute “twenty-seven.”
Subparagraph (b): Cancel, and substitute—
(b) Possess a First Mate’s (or superior) Certificate of Competency if between twenty-one and twenty-six years of age and a Master’s Certificate if twenty-six years of age or over.

Article 62: Cancel, and substitute—
62. Obligatory Naval Training — Acting and Probationary Sub-Lieutenants.—The obligatory Naval training of an Acting and a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant shall be twenty-eight days’ preliminary instruction at the Naval Base, followed by six months’ training in one of the cruisers of the New Zealand Division. Such training will be performed within two years from date of promotion to Acting Sub-Lieutenant. Probationary Sub-Lieutenants will perform their obligatory training so soon as convenient after entry.

Article 63 :-
Cancel subparagraph (b).
Subparagraph (a): For “article 90” read “article 62.”
Subparagraph (c): For “was performed” read “is performed.”
Subparagraph (c) to be re-lettered (b).
Add: “Note.—The requirement of one year’s service in the Reserve (article 21) is not applicable to this article.”

Article 64: Amend heading to read “Qualifications for Confirmation of Acting Sub-Lieutenant.”

Article 65: Cancel, and substitute—
65. Probationary Lieutenant—Qualifications for Entry.—For entry as a Probationary Lieutenant a candidate should be over twenty-seven and under thirty-one years of age, and must possess a Master’s Certificate.

Article 68: Cancel, and substitute—
68. Qualifications for Promotion—Sub-Lieutenant to Lieutenant.—In order to be eligible for the rank of Lieutenant a Sub-Lieutenant will be required—
(a) To have attained two years’ seniority as Sub-Lieutenant, including acting or probationary time :
