(4) A bursar not in receipt of boarding allowance who shows to the
satisfaction of the Director that he is obliged to travel more than four
miles each way in order to attend the classes in his approved course of
study shall be entitled to a refund not exceeding £10 in any year of his
actual travelling-expenses so incurred.

(5) Any allowance approved under this regulation shall be payable
by the Director in equal instalments at the end of each term upon receipt
from the Principal of a report showing that the attendance, progress,
diligence, and conduct of the bursar during the term have been
satisfactory.

  1. (1) A bursar shall regularly attend the classes in his approved
    course of study, make progress in the work of such course to the
    satisfaction of the Principal and the Director, and pass a major portion
    of the test allotted to the particular year of such course.

(2) On receipt from the Principal of an unfavourable report on the
attendance, progress, diligence, or conduct of a bursar the Director
may at any time determine the bursary.

(3) Except with the approval of the Director, a bursar shall not
during the currency of the bursary engage in any employment or hold
any position of emolument or profit.

  1. All communications by a bursar on matters relating to the bursary
    shall be addressed to the Principal, who may make such recommendations
    to the Director on the subject-matter of any communication as
    he thinks fit.

  2. The Director may, with the approval of the Minister of
    Education, relax the provisions of clause 1 of these regulations whenever
    it may appear that the purpose of the bursary cannot be effected
    otherwise than by such relaxation.

Constituting the Tekapo Rabbit District.—(Notice No. Ag. 3378.)

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 22nd day of
April, 1936.
Present:
THE HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section thirty of the Rabbit Nuisance
Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General
may, by Order in Council, on petition in that behalf signed
by a majority of the persons qualified to be enrolled on the
ratepayers' list for any proposed district, constitute and
declare any area of land of not less than one thousand acres
a rabbit district under and for the purposes of Part II of the
said Act:
And whereas, in pursuance of the provisions of the said
section thirty of the said Act, a petition has been received
praying that the area of land described in the Schedule hereto
be constituted and declared a rabbit district under and for
the purposes of Part II of the said Act, and it is deemed
expedient to give effect to the prayer of the petition
accordingly:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby
constitute, by the specific name of the “Tekapo Rabbit
District,” and declare that area of land defined in the Schedule
hereto to be a rabbit district under and for the purposes of
Part II of the said Act, and doth hereby further declare that
the basis on which the Board to be established for the said
district shall first levy its general rate shall be on the basis
of the number of stock carried on the ratepayers' land in
the said district.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Mackenzie County of the Canterbury
Land District, commencing at the junction of the Pukaki
and Tekapo Rivers and proceeding in a northerly direction
up the eastern bank of the Pukaki River to its junction with
Lake Pukaki; thence northerly generally along the western
shore of the said Lake Pukaki to the Tasman River, along the
western bank of the said Tasman River to the terminal face
of the Tasman Glacier in Block XI, Mueller Survey District;
thence along the terminal face and the eastern side of the said
Tasman Glacier to the Murchison River in Block XIII, Cook

Survey District; thence along the south-eastern bank of the
said Murchison River to the Murchison Glacier; thence along
the south-eastern face of the said Murchison Glacier and
Harper Glacier to the northern boundary of Block V, Godley
Survey District; thence along the northern boundary of the
said Block V, Godley Survey District, to the western bank of
the Godley River; thence following the western bank of the
said Godley River in a southerly direction to its junction with
Lake Tekapo; thence along the western shore of the said
Lake Tekapo to its junction with Tekapo River; thence along
the western bank of the said Tekapo River to the junction
of Tekapo and Pukaki Rivers aforesaid, the point of commencement.

Consenting to stopping Portion of Road in Block II, Whangape
Survey District, Hokianga County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 22nd day of

THE HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all
other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His
Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent
to the Hokianga County Council stopping the portion of road
described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be
stopped: 2 acres 0 roods 33 perches.
Adjoining or passing through parts Section 61.
Situated in Block II, Whangape Survey District (Auckland
R.D.). (S.O. 25621.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is
more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D.
91791, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
