SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—WELLINGTON FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL those areas in the Wellington Land District containing together 5,679 acres 3 roods, more or less, and described as follows:—

All that area containing by admeasurement 2,106 acres 2 roods, more or less, being part of Rangiwaea No. 4f 17A Block and being part of Provisional State Forest No. 74 (Gazette, 1922, page 1511—ordinary provisional State forest), situated in Block III, Karioi Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the northernmost corner of Rangiwaea No. 4f 17A Block and proceeding in a south-easterly direction along the north-eastern boundary of the said block for a distance of 13057·4 links; thence in south-westerly and south-easterly directions along the western boundary of another part of Rangiwaea No. 4f 17A Block (State forest—Gazette, 1933, page 2008) to the western boundary of Run No. 2, Murimotu Block (State forest—Gazette, 1933, page 2008); thence in a south-westerly direction along the said western boundary of Run No. 2 for a distance of 2348·6 links; thence in a westerly direction along the north-eastern boundaries of Rangiwaea Nos. 4f 13 and 4f 18 Blocks and the north-western boundary of Rangiwaea No. 4f 17B Block to the south-eastern boundary of Rangiwaea No. 1 Block (State forest—Gazette, 1900, page 103); thence in a north-easterly direction along the said south-eastern boundary of Rangiwaea No. 1 Block to the northernmost corner of Rangiwaea No. 4f 17A Block, the place of commencement.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 2,573 acres 1 rood, more or less, being part of Rangiwaea No. 4f 1 Block, and being part of Provisional State Forest No. 85 (Gazette, 1922, page 1513—national endowment provisional State forest), situated in Blocks VI and VII, Karioi Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the northernmost corner of Rangiwaea No. 4f 1 Block and proceeding in a south-easterly direction along the north-eastern boundary of Rangiwaea No. 4f 1 Block for a distance of 14389·5 links; thence in a south-westerly direction generally along the north-western boundary of another part of Rangiwaea No. 4f 1 Block, being Run 31 (State forest—Gazette, 1933, page 2008), to the easternmost corner of Section 2 (Rifle Range Reserve), Block VI, Karioi Survey District; thence in a westerly direction along the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of the said Section 2 and the north-eastern boundary of Section 1 (Karioi Domain), Block VI, Karioi Survey District, to the northernmost corner of the last-mentioned section, and along a line bearing 262° 45′, the approximate edge of the bush, to the south-eastern boundary of Rangiwaea No. 1 Block (provisional State forest—Gazette, 1922, page 1513); thence in a north-easterly direction along the said south-eastern boundary of Rangiwaea No. 1 Block to the northernmost corner of Rangiwaea No. 4f 1 Block, the place of commencement.

As the same are more particularly delineated on plan No. 71/22, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of April, 1936.

Amending Regulations relating to Registration-plates under the Motor-vehicles Act, 1924.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 22nd day of April, 1936.

Present:

THE HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section thirty-six of the Motor-vehicles Act, 1924, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby make the following regulations.

REGULATIONS.

  1. These regulations may be cited as the Motor-vehicles (Registration-plate) Regulations, 1934, Amendment No. 3.

  2. These regulations shall be read together with and deemed to form part of the Motor-vehicles (Registration-plate) Regulations, 1934 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”).

  3. These regulations shall apply to the licensing year commencing on the 1st day of June, 1936, and subsequent licensing years.

  4. The forms numbered 1 and 3 set out in the Schedule to the Motor-vehicles (Registration-plate) Regulations Amendment No. 2 are hereby revoked, and the forms numbered 1 and 3 set out in the Schedule hereto are substituted therefor respectively.

  5. Regulation 5 of the principal regulations as heretofore amended is hereby further amended as follows:—

(i) By revoking in subparagraph (i) of paragraph (a) the words “a series of numerals” and all words following them to the end of the subparagraph, and substituting therefor the following: “a series of numerals from 1,000 to 200,000 inclusive.”

(ii) By revoking subparagraph (iii) of paragraph (a) thereof, and substituting the following:—

“(iii) For private-hire or rental cars, a series of numerals from 1 to 999 inclusive.”

  1. The principal regulations are hereby further amended by adding thereto the following additional regulation:—

“21. Every person who knowingly supplies false or misleading information in or concerning any application made in terms of these regulations, or omits or refuses to supply any information thereby required, shall be liable on conviction to a fine of £20.”
