Land taken for the Purposes of a Road in Block V, Awhitu Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eleventh day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of April, 1936.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the land in Waipawa Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

Lands reserved under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be scenic reserves under the said Act and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

Suburban Section No. 33, Town of Ohakune: Area, 7 acres 2 roods 12-8 perches, more or less.

Suburban Section No. 34, Town of Ohakune: Area, 15 acres 3 roods 11 perches, more or less.

Sections 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, Block V, Town of Pongaroa: Area, 3 acres, more or less.

Sections 7, 9, 10, 11, and 13, Block VIII, Town of Pongaroa: Area, 1 acre 1 rood, more or less.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of April, 1936.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the parts of provisional State forests described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.
