of Regulations 6 and 7 hereof shall apply to any person so appointed, and the fact that any person so appointed is so acting shall be conclusive proof that an event has happened sufficient to authorize him so to act.

  1. At any meeting of the trustees the chairman hereinbefore designated (or his substitute) and one other trustee (or his substitute) shall form a quorum, and on all occasions the chairman hereinbefore designated (or his substitute) and one other trustee (or his substitute) shall be capable of exercising all the powers of the trustees.

  2. Subject to the foregoing provisions, the trustees shall regulate their own procedure and may adopt and from time to time revoke standing orders for that purpose.

VESTING AND INVESTMENT OF FUND.

  1. The fund shall be vested in the trustees for the time being, and the trustees for the time being shall be the agents of any previous trustee his executors and administrators for the purpose of executing in his or their names all documents necessary so to vest at any time the fund and any investments thereof.

  2. The moneys of the fund shall be invested by deposit in the Post Office Savings-bank or such other bank or in such other securities for the time being authorized by law for the investment of trust moneys as may from time to time be approved by the Minister.

  3. The trustees shall keep such books and accounts as may be directed by the Director-General of the Post and Telegraph Department, and shall as soon as may be after the 31st day of March in each year submit to the Director-General a statement of the accounts of the fund for the then preceding year (or, in the case of the first of such statements, for the period from the 1st day of December, 1935, to the 31st day of March, 1936).

APPLICATION OF FUND.

  1. The fund shall be applied as hereinafter provided for the benefit of officers who are absent from duty on approved sick-leave without salary.

  2. Every such officer shall, subject as hereinafter provided, receive payment from the fund during the period of his absence from duty on approved sick-leave without salary at the rate of half his salary as hereinbefore defined.

  3. Nevertheless, the trustees may in their discretion decline to make a payment to any officer or may increase the payment to more than half his salary or reduce the payment to less than half his salary.

  4. The trustees may in their discretion make payments from the fund to any officer who is absent from duty on approved sick-leave on half salary.

  5. In lieu of making to an officer any payment hereinbefore authorized, the trustees may make such payment or any portion thereof to any person who is in the opinion of the trustees a dependant of such officer.

  6. Nevertheless, in no case shall the total payment to or for the benefit of any officer by way of salary and/or payment from the fund exceed the normal salary payment of that officer.

  7. In no case shall any payment to an officer be made from the fund in respect of a period of absence from duty prior to the 1st day of December, 1935.

Recreation Reserve in North Auckland Land District brought under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 8th day of January, 1936.

Present:

THE HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the North Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act, and such reserve shall hereafter form part of the Waiheke Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain by the Waiheke Domain Board.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing 2 acres 1 rood 30 perches, more or less, being Lot 277, D.P. 11378, part Allotment 56, Waiheke Parish, and being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 663, folio 242, Auckland Registry.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

SECTIONS 12 to 16 inclusive, Hauturu Village, Block XI, Kawhia North Survey District: Area, 1 acre 1 rood 24 perches.

SECTION 80, Block III, Tahoraite Survey District: Area, 2 acres 0 roods 36 perches, more or less.
