APPLICATION FOR A LICENSE FOR A WATER-RACE.
To the Warden of the Westland Mining District, at Kumara.
Pursuant to the Mining Act, 1926, the undersigned Allan Reginald Perry, of Christchurch, Company Director, hereby applies for a license for a water-race, as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

Locality of the race, and of its starting and terminal points; also description of land traversed—e.g., unalienated Crown land, private land, or otherwise: Situate in Block XII, Waimca Survey District, commencing at Cemetery Dam; thence extending northerly 8 chains; thence westerly 35 chains to eastern boundary of road; thence southerly along eastern boundary of road 12 chains; thence westerly across road and through southern portion of Section 1938 a distance of 11 chains; thence southerly a distance of 2 chains to Special Alluvial Claim applied for by applicant under Application No. 22/36 as shown on sketch plan filed herewith.
Length and intended course of race: 68 chains; course as detailed on plan filed herewith.
Points of intake: Cemetery Dam.
Estimated time and cost of construction: Two months; £317.
Mean depth and breadth: 2 ft. by 3 ft. 6 in.
Number of heads to be diverted: Twenty.
Purpose for which water is to be used: Sluicing.
Proposed term of license: Twenty-one years.

Notice is hereby given that it was resolved on the 7th day of February, 1936, as an extraordinary resolution, by an entry in the minute-book of the company, signed as provided by subsection (1) of section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933—
(1) That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up and that the company be wound up voluntarily.
(2) That in pursuance of section 235 of the Companies Act, 1933, Mr. A. C. A. Hyde, Public Accountant, of Hastings, be and is hereby nominated as liquidator of the company at a remuneration to be assessed in accordance with the scale of charges of the New Zealand Society of Accountants.
