THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
PETONE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Petone Borough Council intends to take under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act all that piece of land situate in the Borough of Petone, containing, first, nine perches and eighty-five hundredths of a perch (9-85 perches), being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan No. 1220, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 322, folio 123 (Wellington Registry), and, secondly, four perches and six hundredths of a perch (4-06 perches), being part of Section 4, Hutt District, and being the portion coloured yellow on the above-mentioned certificate of title, subject to the rights-of-way thereover created by Memoranda of Transfer Registered Nos. 40883, 41071, and 43416 for the purpose of widening Jackson Street, Petone: And notice is further given that a plan of the said piece of land is open for inspection at the office of the Petone Borough Council, Municipal Buildings, Petone, and all persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of the proposed work or to the taking of the said piece of land and to send such writing with forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Petone Borough Council.

Single copies of the Gazette as follows:-Ordinary Weekly Gazette : For the first 32 pages, 9d. increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, ld.
Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes: For the first 8 pages, 6d.; over 8 pages and not exceeding 32 pages, 9d.; increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, ld.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o'clock of the day preceding publication.
