debentures or other securities (except those in respect of which dissent is duly signified) into new debentures having new maturity dates and bearing interest at 4½ per cent. per annum. The conversion will take effect from 1st April, 1936.

Application for conversion must be made in writing and be accompanied by the securities to which it relates.

Dissent from the conversion of any existing debentures or other securities may be signified by the holder by notice in writing delivered to the Town Clerk, Rangiora, or to Mr. D. E. Millar, P.O. Box 551, Christchurch, on or before the 15th day of April, 1936.

If notice of dissent from the conversion of any debentures or other securities is not received by that date the securities will be converted.

The rate of interest on any debentures or other securities in respect of which dissent is signified as aforesaid will, by virtue of section 18 of the above-mentioned Act, be reduced to two-thirds of the original rate as from the 1st day of April, 1936.

Further particulars as to the new debentures and the conversion generally may be obtained from the Town Clerk, Rangiora, or from Mr. D. E. Millar, P.O. Box 551, Christchurch.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between Cyril William Blackford and Harold Hampden Griffiths, both of Dunedin, in the Provincial District of Otago and Dominion of New Zealand, Hairdressers, who carried on business at High Street, Dunedin, under the style or firm of “Blackford and Griffiths,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six.

Waimarino County Loans Conversion Order, 1935.

I, DAVID JOSEPH BERRY, Chairman of the Waimarino County Council, do hereby certify that, pursuant to the provisions of section 9 (2) of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, a resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Waimarino County Council held on the 23rd day of January, 1936, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the said Council held on the 8th day of February, 1936, providing for the issue under Part II of the said Act of new securities in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set forth in the First Schedule to the Waimarino County Loans Conversion Order, 1935, as published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 1 of the 9th January, 1936, at page 25.

THE UNITED WHEATGROWERS ACT, 1936.

In the matter of the Standing Orders of the General Assembly relative to Private Bills, and in the matter of a Private Bill entitled “An Act to authorize The Wheatmarketing Agency Company, Limited, as trustee of a certain sum of £8,000, being part of the balance of an Equalization Fund held by the Wheatmarketing Agency Company, Limited, in trust for certain wheatgrowers, to apply such sum of £8,000 in payment of 8,000 shares of £1 each in the capital of a proposed company to be formed in the interests of wheatgrowers and to be called ‘United Wheatgrowers (N.Z.), Limited,’ and to sanction such application and the holding of such 8,000 shares of £1 each by nominees of the Wheatmarketing Agency Company, Limited, in trust for wheatgrowers.”

PURSUANT to the Standing Orders of the General Assembly relating to Private Bills, The Wheatmarketing Agency Company, Limited, a body duly incorporated under the Companies Act, 1908, having its registered office in Christchurch, hereby gives notice that application will be made to the General Assembly in Parliament assembled at its next ensuing session for leave to introduce a Private Bill intitled “The United Wheatgrowers Act, 1936.”

The object of the proposed Bill is as follows: To authorize The Wheatmarketing Agency Company, Limited, as trustee of a certain sum of £8,000, being part of the balance of an Equalization Fund held by The Wheatmarketing Agency Company, Limited, in trust for certain wheatgrowers, to apply such sum of £8,000 in payment of 8,000 shares of £1 each in the capital of a proposed company to be formed in the interests of wheatgrowers and to be called “United Wheatgrowers (N.Z.), Limited,” and to sanction such application and the holding of such 8,000 shares of £1 each by nominees of The Wheatmarketing Agency Company, Limited, in trust for wheatgrowers. The wheatgrowers entitled to a distribution of the above-mentioned £8,000 will become in effect owners of equivalent shares in the United Wheatgrowers (N.Z.), Limited.

Printed copies of the above-mentioned Private Bill will be deposited in the Private Bill Office, Parliament Buildings, Wellington, before or within fourteen days after the commencement of the next ensuing session.

EGMONT COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Loans Conversion Order, 1935 (No. 2).

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the Egmont County Loans Conversion Order, 1935 (No. 2), the Egmont County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of the new securities authorized to be issued by the Egmont County Council under the above-mentioned Act and Order in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loan set out in the First Schedule to that Order, the said Egmont County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·052653 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable property in the district, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities and be payable yearly on the 15th day of February in each and every year until the 15th day of February, 1946, or until all such securities are fully paid off.”

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Egmont was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Egmont County Council in the presence of—
