OPOTIKI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Opotiki County Council Loans Conversion Order, 1935 (No. 1).

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the Opotiki County Loans Conversion Order, 1935 (No. 1), the Opotiki County Council resolved at a special meeting held on 2nd August, 1935, as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of the new securities authorized to be issued by the Opotiki County Council under the above-mentioned Act and Order in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set out in the First Schedule to that Order, and also the instalments of principal and interest in respect of the unconverted securities issued in respect of such loans, the said Opotiki County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirteen-sixteenths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the County of Opotiki as appearing on the valuation rolls in force for the County of Opotiki, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities and be payable half-yearly on the 1st days of January and July in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the 1st day of July, 1961, or until such securities are fully paid off.”

I, WALTER BRADFORD BLUCK, Chairman of the Otorohanga County Council, do hereby certify that pursuant to the provisions of subsection (2) of section 9 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, a resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Otorohanga County Council held on the 14th day of January, 1936, and confirmed on the 30th day of January, 1936, providing for the issue under Part II of that Act of new securities in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set forth in the First Schedule to the loan conversion Order dated the 3rd day of December, 1935, as published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 6th day of December, 1935.
