EASTBOURNE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the Eastbourne Borough Loans Conversion Order, 1935, the Eastbourne Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the instalments of principal and interest and other charges on the new securities authorized to be issued by the said Eastbourne Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act and Order in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set out in the First Schedule to that Order, the said Eastbourne Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-three thirty-seconds (23/32nd) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the borough, and such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loans and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the 15th day of December, 1960, or until all such securities are fully paid off.”

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and all other powers (if any) it in that behalf enabling, the Waipa County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the principal and interest and other charges on a loan of £7,000—being the final instalment of a loan of £30,000 authorized to be raised by the Waipa County Council under the above-mentioned Act for providing its share of the cost of improving that portion of the Great South Main Highway which lies in the County of Waipa, including construction, forming, metalling, and surfacing the same, the erection and improvement of culverts and bridges therein, the taking and purchase of land and the cost of machinery, plant, materials, and labour, and all engineering, legal, and survey costs—the said Waipa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-nineteenth (1/19th) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Waipa, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Waipa County Council on Monday, the 21st day of October, 1935.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act, 1924, and its amendments, the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf to execute a certain public work—namely, for street at Thorndon Quay, in the City of Wellington—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such land should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

NORTH AUCKLAND ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Reticulation Loan, 1935.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the North Auckland Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £267,000 authorized to be raised by the North Auckland Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the supply and distribution of electric energy for the benefit of the North Auckland Electric-power District, and for the purchase of plant, land easements, and general equipment for the purchase, improvement, addition to or extension of any existing electrical installations, reticulations, plants, or undertakings, and for the construction of buildings, electric works, and offices within or without such district as provided by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, the said the North Auckland Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and one hundred and fifty-five thousandths of a penny (1·155d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the North Auckland Electric-power District comprising the whole of the North Auckland Electric-power District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The common seal of the North Auckland Electric-power Board was hereunto affixed in the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the said Board in the presence of—

WHEREAS on the 21st day of October, 1935, a resolution was duly passed by the North Auckland Electric-power Board making a special rate of one penny and one hundred and fifty-five thousandths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the North Auckland Electric-power District for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of two hundred and sixty-seven thousand pounds (£267,000) authorized to be raised by the North Auckland Electric-power Board for the supply and distribution of electric energy for the benefit of the North Auckland Electric-power District, and for the purchase of plant, land easements, and general equipment for the purchase, improvement, addition to or extension of any existing electrical installations, reticulations, plants, or undertakings, and for the construction of buildings, electric works, and offices within or without such district as provided by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925: And whereas
