WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act, 1924, and its amendments, the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933.
Notice is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes under the provisions of the above-named Acts, and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, for street at Belvedere Road, in the City of Wellington—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the First, Second, and Third Schedules hereto is required to be taken:
And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such land should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
All that piece of land situate in the City of Wellington, containing twelve one-hundredths of a perch (0.12 perch), more or less, being portion of Lot 29 on Deposited Plan No. 5451, part Section 4, Evans Bay District, the said piece of land being coloured sepia on the plan referred to above.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
All that piece of land situate in the City of Wellington, containing eighty-nine one-hundredths of a perch (0.89 perch), more or less, being portion of Lot 9 on Deposited Plan No. 4604, part Section 4, Evans Bay District, the said piece of land being coloured purple on the plan referred to above.
THIRD SCHEDULE.
All that piece of land situate in the City of Wellington, containing seventy one-hundredths of a perch (0.70 perch), more or less, being portion of Lot 10 on Deposited Plan No. 4604, part Section 4, Evans Bay District, the said piece of land being coloured blue on the plan referred to above.

Notice is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was on the 30th day of July, 1935, presented to the said Court by Harry William Abbott, of Hastings, Builder : And that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Wellington on the 23rd day of August, 1935, at 10.30 o'clock in the forenoon ; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose ; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

The notice must state the name, address, and description of the person, or, if a firm, the name, address, and description of the firm and an address for service within three miles of the office of the Supreme Court at Wellington, and must be signed by the person or firm or his or their solicitor (if any), and must be served, or, if posted, must be sent by post in sufficient time to reach the above-named petitioner's address for service not later than 4 o'clock in the afternoon of the 22nd day of August, 1935.

OPOTIKI FIRE BOARD.
I HEREBY certify that in pursuance of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and of the provisions of the Opotiki Fire Board Loan Conversion Order, 1935, the Opotiki Fire Board on the 12th day of July, 1935, at a special meeting convened for that purpose, passed a resolution to issue new securities in respect of the loan set forth in the First Schedule of the Opotiki Fire Board Loan Conversion Order, 1935, published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 27th June, 1935, on page 1776, and that such resolution was duly confirmed at a meeting of the Opotiki Fire Board held on the 5th day of August, 1935, after having been duly advertised as required by section 9 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33.

UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928.
Notice is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Wellington requires to take the land with improvements described hereunder :
In Wellington—Part Section 314, Town of Wellington, containing one rood thirty-nine decimal four perches (1 rood 39.4 perches) and being the property known as No. 32 Brougham Street, Wellington.
This land is required for the purposes of a public work—namely, a public school—within the meaning of the Education Act, 1914.
Notice is hereby given that a plan of the said land is open for inspection at the offices of Messrs. Brandon, Ward, Hislop, and Powles, Solicitors, Brandon House, Featherston Street, Wellington.
All persons affected by such taking are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such work or to the taking of such land and to send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the said Board, the offices of which are situated in Mercer Street, in the City of Wellington.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to section 232 of the Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of the above-named society will be held at the office of Public Mutual Insurance Company of New Zealand, Sixth Floor, British Chambers, High Street, Auckland, C. 1, on Tuesday, the 24th day of September, 1935, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before the society showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the society disposed of and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books and papers of the society and of the liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.
