LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES.

EVIDENCE of the loss of certificate of title, Vol. 206, folio 65 (Auckland Registry), for part of Lot 22 on deposited plan 7745, being part of the block situated in the Thames Survey District called Pouarua-Pipiroa No. 3B, whereof FREDERICK WILLIAM MANNING, the Younger, of Auckland, Farmer, is the registered proprietor, having been lodged with me, together with an application for the issue of a new certificate of title, notice is hereby given of my intention to issue such new certificate of title accordingly upon the expiration of fourteen days from the 15th day of August, 1935.

Dated at the Land Registry Office at Auckland, this 9th day of August, 1935.

APPPLICATION having been made to me for the issue of an interim certificate of title in the name of JENS SEANER LEEVERS, wife of THOMAS JABEZ LEEVERS, of Awatoto, Wool-buyer (now Jens Seaner Riches, of Taumarunui, Married Woman), for all that parcel of land containing 2 roods, more or less, situate in Block VIII, Heretaunga Survey District, being part of Suburban Section 28, Township of Awatoto (formerly part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 41, folio 207) (application R. 8828), and evidence having been lodged of the loss or destruction of the relative certificate of title, I hereby give notice that I will issue the interim certificate of title as requested after fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

GREY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the Grey Electric-power Board Loans Conversion Order, 1934, the Grey Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the new securities authorized to be issued by the Grey Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act and Order whether in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set out in the First Schedule to that Order or to provide for cash premium payments, the said Grey Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one decimal three two seven five (1·3275) pence in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the district, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the 1st day of April, 1958, or until all such securities are fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a correct copy of a resolution passed by the Grey Electric-power Board at a duly constituted meeting of the said Board held at Greymouth on the 19th day of June, 1935, and a correct extract of the minutes of proceedings of the said meeting.

CANTERBURY-WESTLAND SAWMILLS, LIMITED.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of CANTERBURY-WESTLAND SAWMILLS, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of shareholders of the above-named company held at the Chamber of Commerce Building, Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, on Wednesday, 31st July, 1935, the following special resolution was passed :—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily.”

And it was further resolved—

“That HERBERT GARDINER GLADSTONE LYTTLE, of Christchurch, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

All persons or companies having claims against the company are required to send full particulars to the undersigned on or before the 31st August, 1935, otherwise they may be excluded from participation in any distribution of assets.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company held on the twenty-third day of July, 1935, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed :—

“That the Egmont Newspaper Company, Limited, cannot by reason of its liabilities continue to trade, that it is advisable to wind up, and that the company be wound up voluntarily.”
