Classification of Roads in Rodney County.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, I, James Alexander Young, Acting Minister of Transport, do hereby revoke that portion of the Warrant classifying roads in the Rodney County, dated the 31st day of October, 1928, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 82 of the 1st day of November, 1928, and do hereby declare that the roads described in the Schedule hereto and situated in Rodney County shall belong to the class of roads shown in the said Schedule.

Classification of Roads in Taupo County.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, I, James Alexander Young, Acting Minister of Transport, do hereby alter the Public Works Department’s proposed classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Taupo County, and do hereby approve such altered classification as set forth in the said Schedule.

ROADS classified in Class Four: Available for the use thereon of any heavy motor-vehicle (other than a multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle) which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 4½ tons, or any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 6½ tons:—

Classification of Street in Papatoetoe Town District.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, I, James Alexander Young, Acting Minister of Transport, do hereby declare that the street described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Papatoetoe Town District shall belong to the class of road shown in the said Schedule.

Waihi Drainage Area.—Notice of Intention to make and levy General Rates, and Notice of Amendment of Annually Recurring Special Rates.

Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 12th August, 1935.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended, pursuant to the Swamp Drainage Act, 1915, and its amendments, to make and levy on the unimproved value of all land within the Pukehina Subdivision of the Waihi Drainage Area constituted under the said Act the general rates described in the First Schedule hereto, and on the unimproved value of all land included in the Central Subdivision the general rate described in the Second Schedule hereto, and on the unimproved value of all land in the Kaikokopu Subdivision the general rates described in the Third Schedule hereto, such respective rates being for the purpose of meeting maintenance-costs for the period 1st April, 1935, to the 31st March, 1936.

Notice is also given that, pursuant to the Swamp Drainage Act, 1915, and its amendments, the annually recurring special rates made and levied on the 28th day of December, 1929, and payable on the 30th day of August in each year, have been amended as from 1st day of April, 1935, to the amounts described in the Fourth Schedule hereto for the Pukehina Subdivision of the Waihi Drainage Area, and to the amounts described in the Fifth Schedule hereto for the Kaikokopu Subdivision.
