The amount of the general rates will be payable in one sum
on the 30th August, 1935, when the annually recurring special
rates already made and levied will also be payable.

The valuation roll and the rate-book of the district will
be open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates,
Chief Drainage Engineer’s Office, Room 45, 1st Floor, Govern-
ment Buildings, Customs Street, Auckland, and copies of
same may be inspected at the office of Mr. H. W. Earp,
Clerk, Kaituna River Board, Te Puke, at all times at which
those offices are open for the transaction of public business.

FIRST SCHEDULE.
PUKEHINA SUBDIVISION.

Class A: On the unimproved value of all land classified
as Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands
under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment
Act, 1928, fivepence and one half-penny (5·5d.) in the
pound.

Class C: On the unimproved value of all land so classified
as Class C, twopence and forty-five one-hundredths of
a penny (2·45d.) in the pound.

SECOND SCHEDULE.
CENTRAL SUBDIVISION.

Class A: On the unimproved value of all land classified
as Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands
under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment
Act, 1928, threepence and eighty-three one-hundredths
of a penny (3·83d.) in the pound.

THIRD SCHEDULE.
KAIKOKOPU SUBDIVISION.

Class A: On the unimproved value of all land classified
as Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands
under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment
Act, 1928, twopence and ninety-four one-hundredths
of a penny (2·94d.) in the pound.

Class B: On the unimproved value of all land so classified
as Class B, twopence and twenty-nine one-hundredths
of a penny (2·29d.) in the pound.

Class C: On the unimproved value of all land so classified
as Class C, one penny and thirty-one one-hundredths
of a penny (1·31d.) in the pound.

FOURTH SCHEDULE.
PUKEHINA SUBDIVISION.

Class A: On the unimproved value of all land classified
as Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands
under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment
Act, 1928, fifteen pence and twenty-eight one-hundredths
of a penny (15·28d.) in the pound.

Class C: On the unimproved value of all land so classified
as Class C, sixpence and seventy-nine one-hundredths
of a penny (6·79d.) in the pound.

FIFTH SCHEDULE.
KAIKOKOPU SUBDIVISION.

Class A: On the unimproved value of all land classified
as Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands
under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment
Act, 1928, threepence and eight-tenths of a penny
(3·8d.) in the pound.

Class B: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified
as Class B, twopence and ninety-six one-hundredths
of a penny (2·96d.) in the pound.

Class C: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified
as Class C, one penny and sixty-nine one-hundredths
of a penny (1·69d.) in the pound.

Hauraki Plains Drainage Area.—Notice of making and levying
Rates.

I, ETHELBERT ALFRED RANSOM, Minister of Lands,
in the exercise of powers conferred upon me by the
Hauraki Plains Act, 1926, do hereby make and levy on the
unimproved value of all lands within the district constituted
under the said Act the general rates to meet maintenance-
costs for the period 1st April, 1935, to 31st March, 1936, as
described in the Schedule hereto.
The amount of such rates will be payable in one sum on the
19th August, 1935.

The rate-book of the district is open for inspection at the
office of the Collector of Rates, Chief Drainage Engineer’s
Office, Room 45, Government Buildings, Customs Street,
Auckland, and a copy of same may be inspected at the office
of the Chief Drainage Engineer, at Kerepeehi, at all times at
which those offices are open for the transaction of public
business.

SCHEDULE.

Class A: On the unimproved value of all lands classified
as Class A by the appraiser appointed under the said
Act, twopence and ninety-three one-hundredths of a
penny (2·93d.) in the pound.

Class B: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified
as Class B, one penny and sixty-seven one-hundredths
of a penny (1·67d.) in the pound.

Class C: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified
as Class C, forty-two one-hundredths of a penny (0·42d.)
in the pound.

Kaitaia Drainage Area.—Notice of Intention to make and levy
General Rates, and Notice of Amendment of Annually
Recurring Special Rates.

Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 12th August, 1935.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended, pursuant to
the Swamp Drainage Act, 1915, and its amendments,
to make and levy, on the unimproved value of all land within
the Kaitaia Town District Subdivision of the Kaitaia Drainage
Area constituted under the said Act, the general rate
described in the First Schedule hereto, and on the unimproved
value of all land in the subdivision of the Kaitaia Drainage
Area outside the Kaitaia Town District the general rates
described in the Second Schedule, such respective rates being
for the purpose of meeting maintenance-costs for the period
from the 1st April, 1935, to the 31st March, 1936.

Notice is also given that, pursuant to the Swamp Drainage
Act, 1915, and its amendments, the annually recurring special
rates made and levied on the 18th day of August of December, 1930,
and payable on the 30th day of August in each year, have
been amended as from the 1st day of April, 1935, to the
amounts described in the Third Schedule hereto for the Town
Subdivision of the Kaitaia Drainage Area, and to the amounts
described in the Fourth Schedule hereto for the Rural Sub-
division of the Kaitaia Drainage Area; subject, however, in
respect of the rates set out in the Fourth Schedule hereto, to
such rebates as are prescribed by section 45 (1) of the Finance
Act, 1930 (No. 2).

The amount of the general rates, together with the annually
recurring special rates already made and levied, will be
payable in one sum on the 30th August, 1935.

The valuation roll and the rate-book of the district will
be open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates,
Chief Drainage Engineer’s Office, Room 45, First Floor,
Government Buildings, Customs Street, Auckland, and
copies of same may be inspected at the office of the Chief
Drainage Engineer, Kaitaia, at all times at which those
offices are open for the transaction of public business.

TOWN SUBDIVISION.

On the unimproved value of all land within the Kaitaia
Town District, eighty-five one-hundredths of a penny
(0·85d.) in the pound.

SECOND SCHEDULE.
RURAL SUBDIVISION.

Class A: On the unimproved value of all land classified as
Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands under
section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act, 1928,
fourpence and seventy-eight one-hundredths of a penny
(4·78d.) in the pound.

Class B: On the unimproved value of all land so classified
as Class B, one penny and sixty-seven one-hundredths
of a penny (1·67d.) in the pound.

Class C: On the unimproved value of all land so classified
as Class C, seventy-two one-hundredths of a penny
(0·72d.) in the pound.
