Classification of Streets in Palmerston Borough.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, I, James Alexander Young, Acting Minister of Transport, do hereby declare that the streets described in the Schedule hereto and situated in Palmerston Borough shall belong to the respective classes of streets shown in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

PALMERSTON BOROUGH.

STREETS classified in Class Three: Available for the use thereon of any heavy motor-vehicle (other than a multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle) which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 6½ tons, or any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 10 tons:—

Main Highways.

Christchurch–Dunedin Main Highway No. 101 (all that portion within Palmerston Borough).

Palmerston–Queenstown Main Highway No. 124 (all that portion within Palmerston Borough).

Streets.

Goodwood Road, Harrison Street, Sanday Street, Start Street (east of Ronaldsay Street), Stronsa Street, Young Street.

Streets classified in Class Four: Available for the use thereon of any heavy motor-vehicle (other than a multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle) which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 4½ tons, or any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 6½ tons:—

Auskory Street, Brough Street, Burranss Street, Bursa Street, Copinsha Street, Craig Street, Falcon Street, Gilligan Street, Kirkwall Street, Mull Street, Roscness Street, Runbrake Street, Start Street (west of Ronaldsay Street), Stour Street, Stromness Street.

Notification of Approval of New Rule of Taranaki Acclimatization Society.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint rooms on the second floor of the Post-office Building situated in Norwich Quay, at Lyttelton, to be a place wherein a Magistrates’ Court shall be held, in lieu of the room on the second floor of the Municipal Buildings previously appointed.

CERTIFICATE.

I, Hamilton Andrew Hugh Gilmer, the Medical Officer in attendance at the execution of Charles William Price at the prison at Wellington, do hereby certify and declare that I have this day witnessed the execution of the said Charles William Price at the said prison; and I do further certify and declare that the said Charles William Price was, in pursuance of the sentence of the Supreme Court, hanged by the neck until his body was dead.

Given under my hand, this 27th day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five, at the prison at Wellington.

DECLARATION.

We do hereby testify and declare that we have this day been present when the extreme penalty of the law was carried into execution on the body of Charles William Price convicted at the Criminal Sittings of the Supreme Court held at Napier on the 20th day of May last and sentenced to death, and that the said Charles William Price was, in pursuance of the said sentence, hanged by the neck until his body was dead.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block VII, Waitakeret Survey District, for the Purposes of a Recreation-ground and for the Purposes of a Road respectively.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the First Schedule hereto for the purposes of a recreation-ground, and to take the land described in the Second Schedule hereto for the purposes of a road; And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Chief Post-office at Auckland, and is there open for inspection, and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
