Appointment of Cemetery Trustees revoked.—(H.C. 129.)

GALWAY, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the appointment of all trustees who have been appointed to control the cemetery reserve described as Subdivision 2 of 7, Block IX, Taieri Survey District: Area, 9 acres.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 10th day of June, 1935.

Appointing Members of the Mokau Harbour Board.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

WHEREAS it is provided by the twenty-eighth section of the Harbours Act, 1923, that if any constituent district or combined district fails at any election to elect the required number of representatives, the Governor-General may, by Warrant under his hand, appoint such qualified persons as he thinks fit to be the representatives of that district in lieu of those who ought to have been elected; and the persons so appointed shall hold office in all respects as if they had been duly elected in conformity with the said Act:

And whereas it is provided by the said Act that two members of the Mokau Harbour Board shall be elected by the electors of the Awakino Subdivision of the Mokau Harbour District:

And whereas at the elections held on the eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five, the electors of the said Harbour District failed to elect any members to the said Board:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the hereinbefore-recited power and authority, doth hereby appoint

Antonio Bartlett and
William Bailey Martin

to be members of the Mokau Harbour Board as representatives of the electors of the Awakino Subdivision of the Mokau Harbour District, to fill the vacancies caused by the before-mentioned failure to elect.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 10th day of June, 1935.

Appointing a Member of the Whakatane Harbour Board.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

Warrant appointing a Qualified Person to be a Representative of the Vincent County on the Otago Central Electric-power Board.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section seventeen of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

John Francis Partridge,

of Loburn, to be a representative of the Vincent County on the Otago Central Electric-power Board.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 11th day of June, 1935.

Person to be associated with Children’s Court appointed.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Child Welfare Act, 1925, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

William Thomas, Esquire, M.A., LL.B., of Timaru,

as a person to be associated with the Children’s Court held at Timaru, and I declare that the said appointment is made generally in relation to all matters that may be dealt with by the said Court: And I further declare that the said appointment shall be for one year and one month ending on the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 6th day of June, 1935.

Appointment of State Directors of Mortgage Corporation of New Zealand.

IT is hereby notified that in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by section twelve of the Mortgage Corporation of New Zealand Act, 1934-35 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, has appointed

Sir William Duffus Hunt, Kt.,
Alexander Dallas Park, Esquire, C.M.G., and
Thomas Norman Smallwood, Esquire,

to be three of the four first State Directors of the Mortgage Corporation of New Zealand; and has appointed the said

Sir William Duffus Hunt, Kt.,

to be the Chairman of Directors, and the said

Alexander Dallas Park and
Thomas Norman Smallwood

to be Joint Managing Directors of the said Mortgage Corporation, each of the aforesaid appointments to take effect on and from the 1st day of July, 1935, and to be subject to the respective provisions of the said Act affecting the same.
