Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby appoint the said James Allan Berry to be an additional member of the Cape Kidnapper Bird Sanctuary Board constituted by the Order in Council dated the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, hereinbefore referred to.

Amending the Wairoa Electric-power Board Loans Conversion Order, 1935 (No. 3).

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of May, 1935.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE E. A. RANSOM PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by subsection two of section thirteen of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and by way of amendment of the Wairoa Electric-power Board Loans Conversion Order, 1935 (No. 3), made on the fourth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five, and published in the Gazette of the seventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five, doth hereby prescribe and order as follows:—

(1) This Order may be cited as the Wairoa Electric-power Board Loans Conversion Order 1935 (No. 3) Amendment, and shall be read together with and form part of the Wairoa Electric-power Board Loans Conversion Order, 1935 (No. 3) (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”).

(2) This Order shall be deemed to have come into force on the fourth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five, the date of the making of the principal Order.

(3) The principal Order is hereby amended by revoking subclauses three and four of clause sixteen thereof, and substituting in lieu thereof the following new subclause:—

“(3) The new securities redeemable on the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-three, the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-four, the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-five, and the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-six, shall, to the extent necessary for the purpose, be allotted by the local authority to the holders of existing securities issued in respect of the second loan specified in the First Schedule hereto, and, so far as such holders are entitled to new securities in excess of the aggregate amount of all the new securities redeemable on the aforesaid four maturity dates, the local authority shall allocate to such holders new securities redeemable on the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-seven.”

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street off Tennyson Street, in the City of Christchurch, of a Width of less than 66 ft., but not less than 49 ft. 6 in., subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of May, 1935.

THE HONOURABLE E. A. RANSOM PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Christchurch City Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street, described in the Schedule hereto, of a width of less than sixty-six feet, but not less than forty-nine feet six inches, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the said street within a distance of thirty-five feet from the centre-line of the said street.


SCHEDULE.

THAT proposed street, in the Canterbury Land District, City of Christchurch, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 25·2 perches, more or less, being portion of Rural Section 49. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 89500, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Portion of the Gore – Te Anau – Milford Sound Road to be a Main Highway.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of May, 1935.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE E. A. RANSOM PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by section three of the Main Highways Act, 1922, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a main highway within and for the purposes of the Main Highways Act, 1922.


SCHEDULE.

HIGHWAY DISTRICT NO. 16.

ALL that road or portion of road in the Lake County, commencing at a point on the southern bank of the Cascade Creek (which point is also the termination of the main highway declared by Order in Council published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 71, pages 2503–2505, of the 12th day of October, 1933), and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly direction by way of the road proclaimed by Proclamation published in Gazette No. 35, page 1267, of the 9th day of May, 1935, and passing through Greenstone, Caples, Castlemount, and Milford Sound Survey Districts, and terminating at or near the Milford Hostel, being a distance of 26 miles 40 chains, more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 89218, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of May, 1935.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE E. A. RANSOM PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section ten of the Thames Harbour Board Loans Adjustment Act, 1932–33, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby further extend until the twenty-ninth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five, the time within which no person shall take any steps to enforce payment of the principal or interest of any of the loans referred to in the said section ten or any part of any such loans.
