TENDERS FOR A BUTCHERY BUSINESS.
TENDERS are invited for the purchase as a going concern of the butchery business formerly carried on at Wairoa, Hawke’s Bay, by Robert Alexander Thomson, and the property and assets comprised therein as specifically set out in the schedule to the conditions of sale by tender, which conditions may be inspected at the office of the Official Assignee, Magistrate’s Court, Wairoa, Hawke’s Bay, and at the office of the Official Assignee at Napier, Gisborne, Auckland, and Wellington respectively.
Tenders close with the Official Assignee at Wairoa on the 27th day of April, 1935.

In the matter of the Religious, Charitable, and Educational Trusts Act, 1908, and amendments; and in the matter of the Estate of JAMES POWELL, late of Westport, Retired Merchant (deceased); and in the matter of the Westport Sailors’ Rest.
NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of the above Act that a petition has been filed in the office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court at Westport by James Hamilton Harkness and William Percival Marris, the present Trustees of The Westport Sailors’ Rest Committee, for the approval of a Judge of the Supreme Court of a scheme under Part III of the above Act for the disposition of a sum of £893 6s. 8d. and accumulated interest thereon (which sum was bequeathed by the above-named deceased to the Westport Sailors’ Rest Committee on certain trusts) upon the ground that the original purposes of such trust have become impracticable or inexpedient: And that the said scheme and petition will be considered and dealt with by a Judge of the said Court at the Supreme Court House at Westport on Wednesday, the 5th day of June, 1935, at 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon, or so soon thereafter as counsel can be heard.
The said scheme is open for inspection by the public at the office of the said Court without fee or charge.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the shareholders of the above-named company held at Dunedin on Tuesday, the 2nd day of April, 1935, the following special resolution was passed:—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that T. H. THOMPSON AND SONS, Public Accountants, be and they are hereby appointed liquidators for the purpose of such winding-up.”
All persons or companies having claims against the company are required to send full particulars to the undersigned on or before the 30th day of April, 1935, otherwise they may be excluded from participation in any distribution of assets.

HAWERA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Order, 1934 (No. 1), the Hawera County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the new securities authorized to be issued by the Hawera County Council under the above-mentioned Act and Order in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set out in the First Schedule to that Order, and also the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the unconverted securities issued in respect of such loans, the said Hawera County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eleven thirty-seconds (11/32nds.) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the district, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities and be payable yearly on the eighth day of February in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the fifteenth day of November, 1949, or until such securities are fully paid off.”

HAWERA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the Hawera County Loans Conversion Order, 1934 (No. 2), the Hawera County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of the new securities authorized to be issued by the Hawera County Council under the above-mentioned Act and Order in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set out in the First Schedule to that Order, and also the instalments of principal and interest in respect of the unconverted securities issued in respect of such loans, the said Hawera County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fortieth of a penny (1/40th) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the district, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities and be payable yearly on the eighth day of February in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the eleventh day of February, 1955, or until all such securities are fully paid off.”
