SCHEDULE.
Locality of the race, and of its starting and terminal points;
also description of land traversed—e.g., unalienated Crown
land, private land, or otherwise: Situate Sections 3278 and
3290, Block IV, Waimea Survey District, commencing at a
point 2 chains east of where Welshman’s Road crosses Salt-
water Creek; terminating on Welshman’s Terrace on area
held under prospecting license now to be made into special
claim.
Length and intended course of race: Three chains and
pipe-line twelve chains.
Points of intake: Two chains east of where Welshman’s
Road crosses Saltwater Creek.
Estimated time and cost of construction: Six months; £310.
Mean depth and breadth: Race, 3 ft. by 2 ft.; pipe-line,
12 in.
Number of heads to be diverted: Five.
Purpose for which water is to be used: Hydraulic sluicing.
Proposed term of license: Twenty-one years.

OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by section 7 of the Local Authorities Interest
Reduction and Loans Conversion Amendment Act, 1934, the
Otamatea County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the instalments of
principal and interest and other charges on the following non-
convertible loans—Ruawai Riding Loan, £2,560 (part of
£7,560); Matakohé Riding Loan, £2,720 (part of £6,720);
Tokatoka Riding Loan, £2,620 (part of £4,620); Paparoa
Riding Loan, £500; Inscribed Loan of £4,671 2s. 8d.—the said
Otamatea County Council hereby makes and levies a uniform
special rate of seven thirty-seconds of a penny in the pound
upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value)
of all rateable property in the County of Otamatea in lieu of
the existing special rates of 15/16 of 1d., 15/16 of 1d., 1d., ¼ of 1d.,
and 4/15 of 1d. (on the basis of the capital value) pledged as
security for the above-mentioned non-convertible loans
respectively, and that such special rate of seven thirty-
seconds of a penny shall be an annually recurring rate during
the currency of the above-mentioned loans and be payable
yearly on the 31st day of July in each and every year during
the currency of the said loans, or until the said loans are fully
paid off.”
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and In-
habitants of the Otamatea County was hereto affixed pursuant
to a resolution of the Otamatea County Council this 27th day
of March, 1935, in the presence of—

I, THOMAS CHARLES ATKINSON HISLOP, Mayor
of the City of Wellington, do hereby certify pursuant to
clause 4 of the Wellington City Loans Conversion Order,
1935 (No. 1), that the special resolution required by the said
Order to be passed was duly passed at a special meeting of
the Wellington City Council held on the 19th day of March,
1935, and was duly confirmed at a meeting of the said Council
held on the 16th day of April, 1935.

1935 (No. 2), that the special resolution required by the said
Order to be passed was duly passed at a special meeting of
the Wellington City Council held on the 19th day of March,
1935, and was duly confirmed at a meeting of the said Council
held on the 16th day of April, 1935.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Wellington City Conversion Loan No. 1, 1935.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest
Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the
Wellington City Loans Conversion Order, 1935 (No. 1), the
Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on the new securities authorized to
be issued by the Wellington City Council under the above-
mentioned Act and Order in conversion of existing securities
issued in respect of the loans set out in the First Schedule to
that Order, and also the interest, sinking fund, and other
charges in respect of the unconverted securities issued in
respect of such loans, the said Wellington City Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of eleven one-hundredths of
a penny (11/100d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on
the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
of the district being the City of Wellington, and that such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of such securities and be payable yearly on the
2nd day of June in each and every year until the last maturity
date of such securities, being the 1st day of June, 1956, or
until all such securities are fully paid off.”
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Wellington City Council held on the 16th day of April, 1935.

Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes: For the
first 8 pages, 6d.; over 8 pages and not exceeding
32 pages, 9d.; increasing by 3d. for every subsequent
16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line
for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and
any subsequent insertion.
Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged
23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening
of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by
the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding
publication.
